Thoughts on a long distance trainer (10+ mi) for slight over pronation?

it slots in nicely between the rincon and Clifton.
This is why I want the Mach 4. A Rincon with slightly wider toebox and more durability would be my ideal daily trainer.

It’s wider than the rincon, not quite as light, and not as firm.
I’m guessing it will cannibalize Clifton sales for hoka.

Clifton is an institution at this point. I will be interested to see how this shoe does sales wise. So far good reviews.

Have you tried Altra's? If you like the wide toe box and zero drop that Altra features, then the Paradigm might be just what you are looking for. It is Altra's cushiest shoe (30 mm stack), and it is supposed to provide some guide support for pronation. I don't have an issue with over pronation, but I ordered a pair of the 4.5s to try out. I plan on using them for my easy and long runs and using my Escalantes for tempo and speed work.

I’ve put 50 on the Atreyu The Artist with “super critical EVA” (feels like cloudfoam)
The shoe is super soft and the plate must be on top of the foam instead of imbedded because it’s pretty unstable at any speed. No energy return to speak of, so it definitely feels like you are doing all the work. Also, it’s really hard to get a good lock. I have to use the extra eyelet for sure.
This fits into my rotation as an easy day/recovery shoe. If version 2 drops the stack (if they keep that foam) and places the plate in the middle of the foam, they’ll probably have a winner on their hands for sure.
I don’t feel bad about spending a 100 bucks on it. I think there’s potential here, and who would have guessed that a Louisiana baw would come out of nowhere and put the shoe buying system on notice.
This shoe is ideal for those strava baws that do all their time trials downhill. Or someone that just wants a comfy ride for some easy running.
Reminds me of Academy Sports Adidas or an unstable Zoom Fly 1.
Room for improvement, but I’m not sleeping on this company. Support small business and buy a pair anyways.

I purchased them full price against my will since they were on the girlfriend's birthday list, but will definitely pull the trigger on them for myself if I see them on clearance.

I guess it could be worse, you could pick up a pair of the tie-dye version.
BRM, thanks for the quick thoughts. I've seen a lot of people reviewing them lately. I haven't purchased anything new in a while other than a replacement pair of Endorphin Speeds.
I'm waiting on the Next%2 to drop again and the RC Elite 2. I may buy a new easy day shoe just because.

picked up Sketchers GoRun Razor Excess
I've never ran in sketchers before but its a pretty nice shoe. put 40ish miles on them so far but can't quite figure out what they compare to. to me they sort of mix endorphin speed (cushion and pop) with adidas boston (lower stack and tread). wider toe box than I'm use but shoe still locks down well. super lite and easy to up the pace. handle down hill really well. biggest change for me is the offset. its 4mm and i'm use to 8mm. not sure i'd run a marathon in them but half for sure.
most important they look good!

Any of you fellas run much in New balance. Have been eyeballing the 860v 11 fresh foams. They're a stability shoe. I've been trying to find something comparable to brooks adrenaline.
I'm not a huge runner, but i bought the 1080v 11s and was blown away by how comfortable they are. I used to run in an old pair of brooks ghosts.
I know these are a little different from what you're looking for but if the 860's are similar to the 1080s, but with more stability I think you'll be happy.

Let me know how they hold up. I like Sketchers, but am never an early purchaser of their products because they have serious durability issues. (Except the go run 8) Because of this, I never pay full price for a pair.

1080s and brooks ghosts have been my favorite two shoes i've worn running.

BRM
I'll give you a update at 150 miles.
speaking of durability the endorphin speed has held up way better than I thought. put 215 on them so far and notice minimal tread wear and still feel fresh. GF has put 500 on hers without noticeable performance or comfort drop.

I'll give update on the sketchers once I hit 150 miles on them.
just putting feedback out there on the durability of the endorphin speed.

Guy blazed by me today wearing a pair of these:
No, seriously. Zero running sandal.

Okay, reread that. Gotcha. I was super confused for a sec and now realize what you were saying.
