I personally love them as I feel I get decent cardio workout while strengthing my hamstrings, something i had ignored for a long time, and my core. I know some people swear by them while some people live and die by them. I was just wondering the opinions of people on here about them.

Honestly I think they look intense but I don't know how to swing and I'd rather someone show me in person.

Every time I try to do swings I end up with a strained hamstring.

I can just tell by looking at it that I would frick it up without someone showing me.

I would have a few if they weren't so expensive. I'd use them in super set fashion with a main lift.

I like them, but hate KB snatches at heavier weights.

They are an awesome workout tool and can allow a person to really open up their workouts.

That said, most folks who occasionally use KBs really don't have the form down, I would find a local instructor and do a few KB introductory classes and really focus on your form (shouldn't that be the case for every exercise?).

My advice, work on the basic swing, once you have that down work on a swing to a clean position, then once you have that down try a KB snatch. Once you have the snatch down everything else should be easy.

Turkish get ups might be the hardest thing ever

KB cleans always make me think I'm going to shatter my wrist

I loved them
Turkish get up
1 arm swings and 1 arm cleans and snatches
It also works just as well to do weighted pull-ups instead of a barbell plate
Works well for farmer walk

Downside is they can be expensive and most gyms don't have one heavier than 40 kilograms

I once could do 1 arm swings with the 40 kilogram kettkebell

Hardstyle kettlebells are fantastic if learned from somone who is certified. It supplements power movements, teaches locking out, and will add a new dimension to training. I learned Hardstyle Kettlebells from a certified instructor and MMA coach and still use them to this day. Every now and then I take a week off from conventional weight training and hit kettlebells three days in a week. I also like to get the kettlebells at the gym and perform rear delt raises or just standing presses.

I rally like the two armed swing, cleans, clean and jerks and the Turkish get up. I also like the move called around the world where you rotate the kettle bell around your head with two hands. It’s an awesome shoulder exercise.

Thanks for all the responses. I think the best thing I did was start out with low weight and perfect form and increase weight very gradually and slowly.

To the individual who tweaks the hamstring, I used to have really weak hamstrings and I attribute them to not hurting anymore to the swings and cleans

They are awesome but form is not the easiest. On Black Friday I brought pairs of 26,36,53,& 70's from rogue, but still working on form. Once I get form down k am going to get some heavy bells.

I think the barbell with a center knurl is more advanced tech

center knurl is for pussies who don't lift heavy enough for it to stay on their back. Seriously center knurl is the most over rated bullshite I have ever seen on every fitness board. Until you squat without it, you don't know what you are missing. This advice is for those that don't compete of course.
