Insurance not covering it is stupid. It’s got to be cheaper than having some morbidly obese person.

Insurance covering $1,000 a month (IN PERPETUITY - because everyone is going to regain their weight when they come off so they will have to stay on it) is not cheaper than covering an ER heart attack / stroke visit in 15 years.

Not sure why the downvotes. This is accurate. Average cost of health insurance premium is $400-$600 a month per. Cost of Wegovy $1300.00, Mounjaro $1100.00 per month.

Over 70% of adult Americans are overweight/obese.

The 4-5 manufacturers making the products are selling them as fast as they can make them even while adding production lines for complete retail price. They have no reason to reduce the cost for the time being since the market price is set and they all have probably 10 years or so left on their patents.

I got mine through a medspa. Now they can’t get it, so I’m trying the grey market route. I used to powerlift, and I still lift pretty heavy, but through the years of having a family and tight income (cooking kid friendly meals) the weight packed on.

I have not noticed any strength loss since I have started taking it. Just let desire to eat.

It’s noT cheap but I’ve been trying hard to lose 30 lb for years so I cut out other expenses this summer (vacation) and only plan on taking for 4-5 months

The vial I got from the medspa was $125 for a 2.5mg vial. So 5 weeks worth. That was the semaglutide sodium.

I recently bought 5mg of semaglutide that I have to reconstitute myself. Not from Peptide Sciences, but some place similar. It was $70. Fingers crossed it is legit. I start it next week

Ours is $200 for the 2.5 mL vial. And that will cover the first two months at the starting dose of 0.25mg and the 0.5mg.

I exercise daily M-F at 5am before work. About 30 minutes on a treadmill with incline. I then lift, usually break it up 1 body part per day.

I haven’t been tracking calories but I’m guessing im sub 1500/day. I have been focusing on lean proteins and veggies and staying away from calorie dense stuff such as sausage.

I could do better at the water. Don’t really know.

We were selling while vials but we have so many people in the program, we went to prefilling syringes and charging $1 per unit I think. Easier to keep tract in pt charts on how much and how often they are taking the medication.

I'm still so confused about this. The highest dosage of wegovy is 2.4mg, is this equivalent or is everyone doing low dosages?

Yes. Wegovy comes in that simple pen.

The compounded Semaglutide comes in a vial and you have to draw it up in an Insulin syringe yourself.

There is also two concentrations of it. The 1/0.5mg/mL and 5/0.5mg/mL so it dosed differently.

So sorry, still confused. The 0.25mg and 0.5mg that everyone is doing in the compounding is equal to the Wegovy starting dosages of 0.25mg and 0.5mg for the first 8 weeks? Sometimes I dunno if people are actually meaning 0.25mg or they mean 0.25ml of solution and that can vary based on the concentration of the dosage.

In your example, you are giving in your 2.5ml solution approximately 3mg total in the vial of semaglutide. So these people aren't really going up in dosage to maintenance level, are they? That would be around $200 per week at maintenance.

Yes.

The first month is 0.25mg= 0.125mL. So 4 weeks of that dose equals 0.5mL.

The second month is 0.5mg=0.25mL. 4 weeks at that dose is 1 mL.

The first two months equal 1.5mL. So you technically can go for another month at the second dose in the original vial.

yes we are talking dosages, not total solution, always
