I bookmarked it to watch later. I’ll give it a listen tomorrow. I don’t see how he could possibly tread any new ground though.

He believes many diets work, including carnivore. He mentioned it last week. He also said he does neither

Layne Norton always preaches on this. Does X diet work? Ask yourself “does it put me in a calorie deficit?” If the answer is yes then yes it works. And if you like it and it works for your lifestyle then go for it

He just always rags on people that claim x diet makes you lose more weight.

I think it’s that calipers cannot read <3% and it’s impossible to be <1%.

The dude was going into competitions at 300 lbs! That's fricking insane. Just to put that in perspective, Arnold competed at 225.

It really isn't possible. People just think it is because calipers get inaccurate at low bf.

Andreas Munzer killed himself getting ripped and he wasn't under 3%.

After months of stomach pain, Münzer was admitted to hospital on the morning of March 12, 1996. By 7pm, doctors had decided to operate to stop bleeding from his stomach, but his liver and kidneys failed shortly afterwards. His condition by this point was too severe for a blood transfusion, and he died on the morning of March 14.[1][2] The autopsy gave the cause of death as dystrophic multiple organ failure.[3]

Some of the specific autopsy findings were an extremely muscular physique with an almost complete absence of subcutaneous fat, a liver that contained numerous table tennis ball-sized tumors (with half the liver consisting simply of a crumbly mass that was similar to polystyrene), shriveled testes, and cardiac hypertrophy (Münzer's heart weighed 636g; a normal man's heart usually weighs 300–350g).[3]

Münzer's electrolytes were also out of balance, and his potassium levels were extremely high. Traces of about 20 different drugs were found, along with acute toxicity (perhaps caused by a stimulant).

Holy shite.

Even by fairly extreme bodybuilder standards, Munzer abused drugs. Most people think it was extreme diuretics to shed water that did him in, but you can just count the side effects of PED abuse with him.

Ronnie Coleman seems like a nice guy, but I can't get over how someone with a four year accounting degree can think that having -2% body fat is a possible thing. Either way, I enjoyed the interview with him, although, because of the -2% body fat thing, I took a lot of what he said with a grain of salt. To me, its crazy how someone who went from his physical capabilities to being so limited in his mobility can be so up beat about it. He literally destroyed his own neck, back, and hips because of how strong he was.

Ronnie seems like a nice guy, but he plays it fast and loose with the truth sometimes.

When he was Mr. Olympia, he went on the Tonight Show and denied steroid use, which obviously isn't accurate. The -2% thing is similar.
