After squatober, I’m thinking of doing something with less intensity, specifically on bench. My elbows need a break. I’ll use an SSB as well. What fits that description? Hypertrophy? Arm farm doesn’t look all that bad

ETA: by intensity, I mean % of TM. Would be nice to keep it under 75%

Just bought arm farm to run before Squatober. Going to run it Sat/Sun/Tues/Wed so it disrupts work days less. Program looks like it will be fun as hell but maybe less taxing than the PPL program I currently run (at least for legs)

Goals are just to build some more muscle and maintain/improve athleticism. I’m nearing 40 but still play soccer regularly and want to be able to still hang with the kids.

Grasshopper was first real program I did from start to finish. My last inbody scan I was 6ft/208/20%bf. Now I’m 6ft 203 and I’d imagine 18-19%. More than anything just want to keep improving from where I am, drop some. Ore weight to 190-195 and be around 13-15 bf?

Want to be able to run around and have good endurance for an hour for soccer. So a program that doesn’t over tax me to be able to keep doing that would be awesome. I’ll look into some of the suggestions. Thanks to everyone!

Hypertrophy mainly stays below 72% on bench but there are 2 days thay get higher, 78%&89% towards end of program.

If you are willing to go to 3 days, turnt up would be more what you are looking for.

Any of the 4 day programs that are upper body focused will work.

I'm in the same boat as the other guy. Finishing up grasshopper, like the gains but I need some conditioning for bjj. I was thinking of trying Football 1.

Little unsure of what to do here.. I forgot I have a minor procedure on the 15th, after which I cant exercise at all for 7-10 days, and then cant slap on any weight til ~14 days..

Just run my planned PPSA program for the next week, take my 2 week lumps, start it over when able?. One more round of grasshopper from WK4?

Gym is packed today, so that meant all of the benches would be occupied as well. Had to do my BP set on a decline, hopefully that doesn’t throw things off.

Sounds like a plan, no need to over think.

That’s my go to backup as well but I haven’t had to use it yet. Mine was crazy packed today but I got lucky with an open bench right when I needed it. Then had to do 10 sets and clogged it up for 30 minutes.

I enjoyed using the decline bench, I can bring the bar all the way down to my chest without jacking up my shoulders. I thought I had a flat bench today but was literally beat by 1.5 seconds to it.

Been having some sharp pain in my lower trap doing back squats the last few weeks. Feels like it is coming from having the bar on my back, haven’t had issues with it doing rows or other back exercises. What is a good rule of thumb estimate of front squat % vs back squat? 75%? Going to try and do front squat this month to see if the pain will heal itself, otherwise Squatober is in jeopardy

I believe the studied average is 83% if both are trained hard.

prolly would just do 80% of your current BS max and then use a 85% training max of that and see how it goes.
