For a minute I thought you meant you ran 2 miles in 10:23. I was like damn nice job

I'm at 25 miles for the week. Yesterday I did 10 x 3:00 at threshold, roughly 6:50-7:00 pace, with 60 seconds rest. I'm hoping to hit 10 miles tomorrow and really get back into the swing of things. All my runs have been on the treadmill because I have no idea how the heat will drop my blood sugar. Once we get some cooler weather I plan on going back outside

Been a shitty week for a variety of reasons.

Did 12 miles this AM at Black Creek. I love this track because it’s gravel and flat. It’s very easy to manage your pace here. 2 miles at HR 130. 7 miles at HR 140. 3 miles at HR 150. Covering the whole zone 2 range. Felt great.

Yesterday's run.

Got hard mile 16-18 and my HR went up. Was sticking around 145-151 for most of the run. Last 2 were closer to 155-165.

Heart Rate drift is a real thing, it's mostly caused by dehydration, but it can also be caused by a few other things. If I start any run over 13 miles and my HR isn't staying below 150 for like the first 10 miles I know it's gonna be a slog.

I was trying so hard to avoid it.

I could have fueled better, ate around 150g carbs, 2 electrolyte tabs with water, and just regular water. My 2nd refuel around 1.5 hours in I knew I could have used more fluids.

Funny enough I started the run a little freaked out, mile 1 at 10:10 my HR was 135ish which is high. I ran 10 the day prior so I attribute it to that. Mile 4 I was hovering around 145 and I thought about cutting it at 12, but after that it stayed 145-150 for around 10 more miles which I thought was weird.

Sunday went great! I made the decision last week to only sign up for the Half because I had 3 friends running the Full who were all trying to Qualify for Boston (the time I was going to go for wouldn't have done anything for me).

I paced one of them for half of her race (1:38 Half) and went back out and ran another 7 miles finding all 3 of them at different points and giving them nutrition / electrolytes and running alongside them at different points to cheer them on and push them to keep going.

So in all I ended up doing just over 20 miles on Saturday with 13.1 at a 7:29 pace, and still went out and did another 7 miles, it felt great and I feel good.

P.S: The girl I paced for the first half got a BQ with a 9 minute buffer!!! My other friend got a 6 minute buffer, and then my last friend didn't BQ (even though he ran the Marathon in a Blazing 3:02:28... the male divisions are ridiculous)

Needless to say, because all I did was 20 on Sunday, I plan to do a normal 45 - 50 mile week this week

Ran 3.5 at a 9 flat pace. Felt pretty damn good. I'm sad the cooler air is leaving.

Is that the Gardendale group? I haven’t heard much about it since it was originally mentioned.

Yes, they are still going strong. Was a smaller group this week, but still had 15 or so.

Way more than what we typically get unless we combine groups with the Lifetime Group.

Put in a few miles with kid in the jogging stroller this morning. I forgot how much work it was to push that thing uphill.
