52 degrees this morning was amazing. I took a few days off while traveling, but I ran 30 minutes straight this morning for the first time since I injured my hip and SI joints 3 years ago.

Felt like fall out there today. I was not soaked for the first time in months.

76 today during my mid-day run and it was GLORIOUS! Can't wait for my first Race of the Fall season and a starting Temp in the 60s!

Getting out there this evening for 8. First time without a handheld. Looking forward to it.

Not today - currently in taper for a marathon in a week and a half, so taking it easy and just enjoying the cooler weather.

Trying to keep my intensity up a bit more than I normally do for taper while also cutting back enough for really good recovery, this is a tough tightrope to walk.

4.25 @ HR 137 and a 10:30 pace.

3.75 @ HR 168 and a 8:15 pace.

Beers. Wings. Good times with the run group.

I have never averaged over 150 miles a month during the Summer months, but I did it this year. As it has started to cool off I'm realizing those miles during the horrible temperatures should pay huge dividends in the Fall.

Boston or Bust in Huntsville, AL.

I'm going to try and help my friend qualify for Boston - have a pacing plan for sub-3:20

1:15 hrs on the slide board at 130 HR. Nice cross training activity with the weighted vest and a kettlebell.

Are you trying to BQ or just help pace for friend with BQ time of 3:20? Did your training block align with 3:20 or your BQ 3:05 ?

My training probably aligned more with 3:15 than 3:20. I have no desire to BQ, not for this race, possibly not for my race in December. Maybe one day, but that day is not today.

Reverse Statue. 7 miles 139HR, 10:50 pace. Felt great. Beers and burgers at Otey’s in Crestline. Lots of talent there tonight. Good times.

If it’s on Strava it’s true! So close. I know you’ll make it happen soon enough.
