Cross trained today. 1.25 hrs of weighted stadiums in the 125-135HR zone 2 range. Felt good after a lot of running this week.

What are the best low impact cross training cardio exercises to do without putting miles/strain on the legs?

Here are my two:

1. Weighted stadiums. These are walking and not running with a 30 lb vest. Goal is 125-135 HR.
2. Weighted slide board with a 30 lb vest. Goal is 140 HR.

Slide board is my favorite. It’s aerobic and puts me in a different plain than running does. I’d love to incorporate swimming, but not currently in a gym with a pool. I hate riding a bike.

5 mile warm up at HR 145.

Threshold at HR 170 for 3.25 miles.

Knocked out 10.5 today for 38 on the week

Most since T1 diagnosis. My pancreas is pissing me off because it decided to start working this week and I'd go hypoglycemic on my runs. I kind of need it to go ahead and call it quits so I can get my dosing right

No throwing up this time around, so kept it solidly in zone 2

zone 2 stomach bug, Aubie would be proud

ETA: Did 15 on Saturday, 4 miles @9:00 and then 1 mile @8:00ish - did that 3 times.

Sunday did 5 miles progressive: started at 9:00 and ended at 6:45

BAA has released the cutoff - 4:34

My friend that I paced will be perfectly fine. Now I'm curious what the cut-off times will be for 2027 with the downhill courses getting kneecapped

A 2:50:26 is gnarly. Like you, I'm curious to see if the downhill ban/adjustments make a difference in the next qualifying period.

Did a Death by 5k race here in Tulsa Oklahoma over the weekend. What a mental battle that was! Fastest was a 29:04 and slowest was a 38:54.
