3.5 @8:45 per this morning, air sucked. Fog, no wind, warm, sweat did nothing, had to chew the oxygen to get it. Yay summer.

8.25 @12:30
Went at 3 pm to try and keep getting acclimated to the heat and planned to do 15m but was totally water and tapped out. Gonna do 10 or so tomorrow morning before the sun gets to high.

I was running with her 10-14 miles in the dead of that brutal summer a couple years ago.
Why do that to that poor kid?

9.5 at 930 pace this morning. Humidity is out full force today, my camelback had more sweat on the outside of it when I finished, than there was water in it when I started.

13m at 12:25 pace. HR was way lower than yesterdays run and perceived exertion was as well.

Did 13.1 this morning @8:30. That was brutal, and it only gets worse as my mileage increases :sigh:

My college coaches wife just went 2:48 at grandmas

People were worrying about the weather but it looks like it was fast for a lot of people. I expect races like Grandma's to get even more attention now that Boston is cracking down on downhill meme courses

Yea grandmas is perfect for a legit bq honestly. It’s definitely downhill but there’s enough uphill to keep it honest. The course is beautiful plus Duluth weather is typically pretty awesome this time of year.
The aforementioned coach called during the race and I wouldn’t be surprised if he talked me into doing it with him next year. I thought I was gonna have a meet up at grandmas with BA this year for a bit there.

Next year man!! Next year!! I could have been there, I wish I had stuck to it. It is what it is though

As of right now I’m running a half in November. If I come out of that feeling good I may commit to grandmas next year. Both babies should be old enough at the point I’d start ramping up that me training hopefully wouldn’t be as big of a burden on my wife.

It’s about time Boston took a stance on all the downhill races. BQ-ing isnt intended for everyone yet people try to find the “cheapest” way to do it.
Just got back from the Dolomites. It’s beautiful and wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Some areas remind me of Glacier but at same time very different. 5 days We covered 95 miles w/ 31k’ in gain

6 at 930 this morning after the 10 yesterday. Stayed up until midnight watching On Patrol Live like an idiot, then the little one was restless so 5am got here fast today. Those days you don't want to go always end up being the best one you do though.

5 today @9:15 in the middle of the day. Not being a morning person really hurts me in the summertime

I leave work 30 minutes early every Monday so I can run 4-5pm so I'll be out there suffering with you tomorrow. It's been quite the acclimation period the last few weeks.

Trying to offload my Puma Deviate Nitro Elite 2’s if anyone is interested.
Snagged some VF3’s from Dicks, they have one colorway for $148 right now. Just FYI to any VF3 fans.

Did some late night 800s tonight. Started at 9:05pm, did 7 of them and felt good enough at the end to drop another 400m just for funzies.
Love the feeling after a good workout
