No, but I'm curious about this approach. I like HR better than pace as a measure of performance.

The garmin let me choose the HRR approach as my preferred zone-based tracker, so I'm going to try it out for a few weeks and will report back.

What are the HR targets and frequency of exercise?

I've gotten the trots about about 5 or 6 times over the past 2 weeks. It fricking sucks. Hit me 2 miles from the house today.

I went through a 2 month stretch where it hit me about halfway through my long run every week. I don’t know what brought it on or why it stopped but it hasn’t happened for my last 5 long runs (knock on wood).

This is like a No Hitter in baseball, it should not be mentioned. Prayers sent for you on your next long run. I plan my long runs to go by a gas station at least every 3 miles. I have been caught before but thankfully not many people around some areas at 5am on a Sunday.

This has never happened to me. On our long runs, I've seen people stop at the porta-potties at construction sites.

The worst part is I can feel it starting a few miles before it hits. It kind of gurgles a bit and goes away and then comes back like a ton of bricks.

I once got it 5 miles into a long run. Fortunately I was near my best friend’s house, so I waddled up to the front door and knocked furiously. Remembered they were out of town and realized I couldn’t make it a mile home. So I went into his backyard, pulled an orangutan hang, and had a blowout behind his shed. It was awful. I then proceeded to run an additional 6 miles

6.5 miles this AM at a 141HR. Finally, finally feeling good in the zero drop shoes. Damn it took forever. Air temp 75. Dew Point 75. Brutal.

Hills in the heat tomorrow night. No HR target and (4) 1/4 mile fartleks mixed in. I'll try not to pass out.

Duty calls, my boy. Couldn’t let a blowout get in the way of my weekly long run

only had it happen once on a run in grayson highlands. unpleasant is a good word

had an ex girlfriend in dire straits try to make it back to the house from the park 4 blocks away. made it all but the last 20 feet. there was a poo trail in the hallway leading to the bathroom. she got furious but i had to laugh

5 miles tonight of hills. 430’ of climb with (4) 1/4 mile fartleks mixed in. Brutal. 10 min miles and max HR of 192. No issues with the zero drops again. Finally feel good.

Y’all I did this thing called listening to my body this morning. It was super hot already and my legs were not feeling it so I took the day off in spite of really not wanting to. Weird feeling.
