Haha, She said they never show good looking frat boys in the hepatitis commercials but maybe they should because it can happen to anyone. The liver tests can be in the high 100's & thousands for them.

She did say share detailed information about your exercise regiment, dont just say I "work out hard" ...if your physician listens he/she will understand the stress & recovery you put your body under ...many people bring garmin/apple/fit bit data in now to give a bigger picture + full supplement list.

Certainly.

Not a chance.

Seriously, thank y'all and I will be as detailed as I can when I talk to him Monday. May need to rest up for a week or so and get some follow up Labs in due time. I'm learning more and more that training hard (not that I'm training hard as far as us in this thread are concerned, but hard for the general population I'd say) is not necessarily the best thing for optimal health.

Just 4 miles today but the temp was well into the 90s and that gives me 50 for the week. I have been slowly increasing mileage with a target race of Cactus Rose 100 on October 23.

Looks like it's time to start serious training again. We have a local marathon that is still on and according to the RD, unless something else happens, plans are for it to be a go.

This weeks workout (tomorrow for me) is 20x30s fartlek. If you prefer the track, 16x2s. 20, 30 second mile pace with one minute jogging rest between. 3 mile warm up, 3 mile cool down. Still working on speed week 2 of 6.

This is an easier week coming off last week's killer hill workout and fast finish long run.

The director says it’s on hell or high water and I want to believe him, but that is a non refundable race so I’m playing it by ear. Keeping a watch on it as there is a 700 person total cap.

I'm 95% sure we've discussed this before, but is the race you're talking about in Cotter? Me and some buddies used to go to Rainbow Drive Resort on every November to fly fish and I had no clue there was a marathon in Cotter.

Heartattacktiger,

How confident are you about the race?

I need a backup if my Boise race (10/25) gets canceled.

It sure is.

Burt let me know what you are seeing/hearing. I’m starting to lean heavily towards that being my goal race if it goes.

Well, they cancelled the Magic City half that was scheduled for Nov 22nd. What a clownshow.

Anyway, still burning through mileage at my normal 8:45-9:15 pace. Brutal hot in the afternoons make it hard. Hoping all this distance running in the heat pays off at some point.

If you're still running your winter pace in August I would imagine you'll be much faster when it cools off. I've slowed down a little over a minute/mile.

Yeah. I’ve slowed down 20-45 seconds per mile and that’s probably still too fast for summer training pace.

ETA: Was at 8:30-9:00/mile during fall and winter. At 9:00-9:40 right now.

This is what I'm hoping.

Overall my paces have slowed a good bit for the majority of my runs. I try to make an effort to get one good tempo/threshold run and one speed day a week.

100%. Going to be small as the total cap is 300.

HeartAttackTiger,

Thanks. That is now, realistically, my closest and only back up plan.

I will have to register soon after Boise makes their decision.

Mississippi Gulf Coast is in December and that would add about 13 weeks to my original plan which might not be sustainable. I'd like to keep that to the half.
