That's awesome dude! Congratulations to all the other racists today. I tried watching the Houston Marathon but it was unwatchable as far as production goes. 14 Americans go sub 102 in the half
that's crazy! There were like 10 overall that (non American) that went sub 60.

It was great weather and that half course is as flat as it gets.

Did 2:20. About 10 minutes off where I wanted to be in November but between LSU actually being awesome and Christmas it’s a miracle I finished with all the boozing I’ve been doing.

I think I set a 10 mile PR today, but my watch died at about mile 9.6. I was averaging 8:57 when it died, and finishing the last mile at about an 8:25 pace. New head phones seem to drain the watch battery faster than my old ones. Weird.
ETA: Re-charged watch and got time. It died at 9.71. Average mile was 8:57.

Ran a 1:36:20 half today at Louisiana Marathon. The wind was no joke. I don’t think I’ve ever run in wind like that. Was on pace for sub-1:35 until mile 9.5. Limped to the finish. My lack of training caught up to me. Still a good time by most standards, so I shouldn’t complain. No more races on the schedule for now. I’ll be running to stay in shape, but definitely playing more golf.

What app do you guys use? I downloaded strava and smashrun. I like the looks of smashrun better but I can't find a phone app for it.

3 miles in 24:17 today on the treadmill. I do not like running on treadmills, but it’s too cold to run outside. 2 tomorrow, 3 Wednesday, and 5 Saturday are up next.

I’m interested in responses to your question too. Considering getting a GPS watch

Do people still do the Nike+ running app against each other

Everyone pretty much uses Strava. We even have group that we have managed to keep civil and no one has harassed anyone. The watch choice is overwhelmingly Garmin as well.

I agree with BRM & the Strava group...I've pulled from / copied something from nearly every runner on there.

I went from Garmin to Apple Watch for everyday use and I use the Apple workout app that syncs to HealthFit which syncs to Training Peaks. I like to use an Apple Watch so I can run tunes and GPS through the same device.
It looks like I need to look at Strava, though.

I hate it. Tried it several times and refuse to do it. Feel like I'm gonna bust my arse every time.

I don't have to run in the temps you listed, but I find that I warm up at about mile two and everything is fine after that.

Strength. Wife would like my arms bigger of course. I just don’t want to be in the gym very long.
Check out the greyskull thread on this board. I switched to it from a different program I was following a couple of weeks ago. I only lift 3 days a week now instead of 5, and my workouts only last 30-45 minutes now instead of the hour plus I was putting in before.

Is there someone I need to contact to get access? I asked about it a while back, but nobody replied, so I figure it must be top secret.

LSU Patrick,
Sorry I missed that post..for you & all the new runners --> TD.com on Strava
Like BRM said, some people have been apprehensive because of real names but there have been zero issues + 3NOut is a very solid moderator and would not allow anything to get out of control.

Running on a treadmill is boring. The scenery never changes. Watching TV doesn’t help either.
As for temperatures, I’ll run above 50-55, but not below that. I live in a coastal town and the wind can cut right through you when it’s cold.

Greyskull is awesome. Ran it in 2018 with great success.
