This thread has been a treasure trove of info.

I'm starting TRT next week. Doc prescribed test cypionate that I'll be injecting every other day at .2 per injection. My free test was at 44.8 pg/mL and bioavailable was at 94.2 ng/dL.

Been tired and overall lethargic for a long time now. Also wake up a lot throughout the night. Despite all of that, I still workout hard and have been doing CrossFit for about a year and half now.

I'm more concerned with getting my energy level up and sleeping better. If I put up some lean muscle, then so be it.

Per lsu777's advice, I ordered some luer lock 1 cc syringes, 20 gauge 1" luer lock draw needles and some 29 gauge 1/2" luer lock needles for the sub-q injections.

I'm ready to see what I'll feel like doing the TRT.

Anyone ever try Jatenzo 237mg? It's in capsule form taken twice daily. I started this about 2 weeks ago...seems to make me heavier but not fatter or a bigger gut. I am lifting weights 5 days a week but nothing super crazy. I think I've gained about 8-9 lbs in 2 weeks, but like I said, it's not in my gut area.
I have not run any more blood tests yet.

Just got my lab results back

In one year I went from total testosterone 240 to 909
Free test 7.8 to 31.2
SHBG 9, this has fluctuated from 11-9
Estradiol at 64, was in the 30’s or lower within my first 3 months of use

Would it be time to consider an AI? I’m not feeling any effects indicative of my high estradiol. J feel very close to optimal. Over this one year I went from injecting test cypionate 125 mg/ml once a week to now 220 mg/ml once weekly

That's gonna get really old really fast. Just inject Mon/Thurs like everyone else. Go plot it out on steroidplotter - there is no substantive difference in level swings and it will be much more inconvenient

Pay attention for coring (little bits of rubber falling in the test) from the vial's stopper, it's generally advised to stick with 22ga to avoid it. I've had it happen with 18ga and 20ga in pharma test vials

I personally use 22ga to draw, 27ga 1/2" to inject in abdomen

Yes, you want to stay around 30. I don't take AI regularly and only use it when I feel symptomatic. Over time you will learn to feel when it's running high

Has anyone ever tried Clomid?

Any doctor that recommends clomid monotherapy for testosterone deficiency is retarded and should be ridiculed. Post his name here so we can roast him

Closed I agree. I would like to see enclomiphene citrate looked at a little more seriously though.

I was very hopeful that removing zuclomiphene from the equation would be a breakthrough, but sadly the majority of feedback I’ve seen from enclomiphene users is similar to clomid

My test cypionate finally came in today. Gave myself my first .2 sub q injection. Looking forward to getting to peak levels. According to the chart I did below, I'll get to near peak levels around Week 3 at an every other day injection.

Was about 250 and started at only 100mg/week split into two does. Seems to be helping but I do get mild acne on my upper back. Really frustrating given it’s such a low does

Is 250 a week a low dose? That seems to be at least double what most protocols listed on here are. Mine is 100 every 5 days and it’s worked wonders for me.

ETA - or was 250 your testosterone level before you started? I haven’t had any acne issues with the 100mg every 5 days.

This.

Yeah man it’s odd. Didn’t have especially bad acne when I was young either.

I did gel TRT back in the day without issue. A bit of pain but no sides.

Fast forward and my PCP recommended 200mg (1ml)once every 2 weeks. I did that a couple times before realizing how stupid it was.

Now I do 50mg (.25ml) twice per week. I inject what I think is subcue, basically below the belly button and an inch or two the left/right.

Recently started washing with salicylic acid and a long handle brush to reach my back. We will see if that helps.

Reading is educating yourself. If you don't want to do that then TRT isn't the thing for you. Success with it comes more from YOU educating yourself, and understanding, than a Dr writing you a script. Easier to find an uneducated Dr than it is to find a good one, no sense in 2 dummies playing with your hormones.

That's the summary you need.
