Seems to me you have got it figured out! Your numbers are trending in the right direction. That vacation break will feel nice, I'm sure. But if you're anything like me, you'll be ready to get back to it once you get home.

Thanks! I’m going to ride this into the summer and then reevaluate. I’m already hitting the wall in my LP on the presses so thinking of switching to the reverse pyramid from the other thread. Getting one more rep in the AMRAP is becoming a struggle.

Also, anyone with access to a sled I highly recommend. I do 5-7 slow laps (10 yd pull, 10 yd push) with one plate on lifting days to warm up and on non lifting days hit it hard after walking - 10 to 12 laps as fast as I can go with two plates. Hands on knees, sweating, feel like I’m going to die. My left knee used to be a problem and is now solid.

I’ll probably cut that from Thursdays first.

That SMM bro!!!! Hell yeah! And 13.7 BFP is legit at 200lbs! Good shite! Leanest I’ve ever been was 13.3 about two and a half years ago, the post is in this thread somewhere, but I wasn’t mad at the 14.3 today.

I’ve always hovered around 50% in SMM.

If I ever decided to clean up the diet for several months, I’d get down to 10% or better.

Working out like a mofo. Upper body weights 2 days a week. Lower body weights 2 days a week. All lifting to near-muscle failure (how I’ve always done it). Plus 2-3 days per week of cardio (120-150 total minutes).

Performance enhancing drugs if those numbers are accurate

And there it is.

Safe and realistic weight loss has long been advised to be 1-2 lb per week, and that’s about what I did. Lost 17 in 12 weeks.

Bioimpedence technology of the InBody device is not as accurate as a dexa scan. I don’t think my body fat % is single digits.

Not sure what you mean by that. I may not have lost muscle, but I am curious as to why I didn’t gain any either.

na that can be done. after the initial water/fat loss that happens switching to cut from bulk, he lost rougly 1lb of bodyfat per week.

He didnt gain muscle, didnt do anything crazy. he isnt something crazy ffmi wise. Very very squarely in the realm of just being smart, keeping protein extremely high, lifting volume unchanged or lower, focusing on strength and allowing the extra steps to take the fat off

its not like he came on here and posted he gained 8 lbs of muscle while losing 15lbs of bodyfat or that he gained 35lbs on bench while losing 15lbs of body fat.

I had an InBody scan done this morning, and I am very pleased with my progress since my last scan in December. I know that much of the SMM increase is newbie gains, but I am very happy that the work that I have been putting in on the diet is paying off.

Weight: Stayed exactly the same at 181.6 lb
Lean Mass: 138.9 lb --> 149.9 lb
SMM: 78.5 lb --> 85.8 lb
Fat: 42.7 lb --> 31.7 lb
%BF: 23.5% --> 17.4%

I have a Withings Body Scan scale and I track my body composition a few times per week. I wanted the InBody done to see how close my scale measures the same metrics. I was happy to see that it is not far off from the results of my InBody.

Weight: 181.9 lb
Lean Mass: 149.7 lb
Fat: 32.2 lb
%BF: 17.7%

I also had my RMR tested, which came in at 1980 kcal. This is much higher than what many of the online calculators had estimated, which is around 1650 to 1750 kcal. I should also note that the Withings scale estimates my BMR at 1955 kcal, which isn't far off.

You’re on gear, or this isn’t close to being correct

The dietitian told me that my December numbers may be off because my total body water was much lower than it is today (8.2 lbs lower). She said that lower hydration levels under estimate muscle readings and over estimate fat readings. So, maybe the delta from then to now isn't what the numbers say. Regardless, I am very happy with where I'm at today compared to 6 months ago.
