Best way to run quicker is to lose the fat weighing you down.

Its hard to do so much after work. also changing out of office clothes in car and going to levee. im trying

I found that exercises that focused on quick explosions helped my speed tremendously. Quick sprints & box jumps were my go-to. But my issue was I had good straight line speed, but was slow off the line.

Intervals(100's/150's), short 50m sprints with full recovery, correct you form(arm swing and knee drive). Run a long run 1-2 times a week.

work on hips and explosive movements. Also wouldnt hurt to do some footwork drills(cones,ladders). You can only make yourself so fast but having betting feet and technique will help close that gap
