My stomach has been feeling out of sorts the past two days. This afternoon I noticed the cramping move towards my right side. Unfortunately, I researched it and now I’m panicked.

Never had it.

Is it tender to press halfway between your belly button and where you feel the front of your right pelvis?

If you press deep on that spot and then release, does the pain get worse right when you release?

Fever? Nausea? Decreased appetite?

I had one six years ago. I thought it was a stomachache the first few days then it just kept getting worse so I went to the ER.

If it turns out that I’d what you have I wouldn’t panic it’s not that bad of a procedure. The worst part is being limited the first few weeks after.

But don’t google symptoms lol you’ll sike yourself out

The first time I had a fairly large kidney stone I thought it was my appendix acting up and hit the ER when it got so bad I was basically lying in a fetal position for hours on end.

Trust me, you'd probably rather it be appendix problems over stones since it only happens once and then they remove it.

It could be a lot of things or nothing at all. Gallbladder, appendix, food poisoning, virus, COVID-19, etc.

I had appendicitis about 10 years ago. Mine was pretty acute. Went from feeling fine to vomiting none stop with intense pain in a matter of hours. Went to the ER, and the next thing I know I’m waking up from surgery. They couldn’t scope mine because it was too large.

that exactly describes when I had appendicitis.

Gas can do the same thing though.

Yep, there are a lot of things that can cause gastrointestinal issues, appendix, gallstones, gas, kidney stones, ulcers just to name a few.

If it keeps up and gets worse, hit the ER and chances are they will want to do an MRI to see what is causing the pain.

Last time I went they found 3 large kidney stones.

My appendix ruptured when I was 15. Symptoms were not typical, acute stabbing pain lower right abdomen but no nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. My mom (no pics) knew something was up when her 15 year old son didn’t eat a thing for 2 1/2 days. Nurse knew what I had from the way I was walking right when she saw me. White count was ~35,000 or something. They scoped it but I was in the hospital for 4 days. Recovery wasn’t bad though.

Mine was similar. Christmas Eve I didn’t eat. Didn’t feel right, didn’t sleep.

Christmas morning my mom looked at me, said what’s wrong? She asked a few questions and said “you’ve got appendicitis, we’re going to the hospital.”

Pretty much fully recovered by time school started back up.

So OP, call your mom.

Pray it isn’t a kidney stone. Most pain ever when they get stuck.

I had it when I was 6. I remember a lot of pain and throwing up. It was a very sharp pain. Procedure is no big deal.

Check for rebound tenderness in the area of the appendix.
