W3D4 done this morning. The Friday workouts are some really good pumps with all the supersets.

W4D2 knocked out

Deadlifts were solid using the 95%TM. I did 3 reps on the first 3 sets instead of 2. I'm still not able to do chins unassisted, but getting closer (30# assist now vs 95# in Dec). First 3 sets were easy using 30# assist; the last 3 not so much. I tried to push the weight on the high rep hammer curls but had to go back down for the last set after failing set 3. Other than that, it was a good solid session.

As Nola mentioned, anyone have thoughts on bench % for day 4? Using a 1RM calculator, 10 reps would be 75%. Does that sound right?

I think I am going to be on the sidelines for a while, we had a soccer game last night between parents and players and I think I did some good damage to my right foot. I can't put any weight on it today

75% on bench with that superset sounds tough. I’m probably going to try 60% and adjust after the first set if needed

Haven’t updated been forgetting but W4D3 done. Definitely feeling the bump up to 95%. Gonna take a few days off and knock out D4 Friday since I’ve gone 3 days in a row

First afternoon back at work since the baby came. Haven't touched a weight since last week.

She was readmitted over the weekend for jaundice and spent Saturday night there. Went to her first pediatrician visit yesterday morning and it rose back up, but not as bad.

Still trying to get her to feed better. I managed to get my hands on a bili blanket for her to lay on in the sun all day long for double whammy to get the bili to do down.

I never thought I would be this tired. I wake up every 2-3 hours with my wife to make sure she doesn't need anything. And to make sure little girl goes back to sleep.

I can't wait for that. I feel like all we do is feed, pump, and clean the pumps. It's 24/7.

I know the feeling all too well. It goes by fast. Once they can bathe and brush their own teeth, it’s a cake walk. Until they turn 12, only care about their girlfriend, and get a smart mouth with their mom, and you have to kill him.

6 months of uphill then it’s a slow decline. That no sleep is brutal though. Makes everyone edgy.

I get all the health benefits of breastfeeding, but I'm useless when it comes to that. So I just wake up with her and make sure there isn't anything she needs. I keep trying to push for bottles of breastmilk or even formula so I can easily go heat one up and not have to wake the wife. But I keep getting shot down

W4D3 done

After today, Im definitely taking a rest day tomorrow before hitting that insane SS early Friday morning. I've been moving everything to a 3 rep min and 95%TM. I don't think I could've gotten another 3 rep set in on squats. I didn't need the safety bars, but glad I had them set just in case. Starting to really love RDLs. I like the challenge of seeing how close I can get the weight to the ground without touching it or bending at the knee.

Jose it'll get better. Sounds like you're doing a fantastic job for your daughter and your wife. Hang in there! I think the biggest benefit to breastfeeding is not having to shop for formula. My daughters were picky and didn't tolerate most formula. Finding the stuff they could was pricey and tricky sometimes.

We need to know if you changed weights correctly this time.

Sounds like you're doing SLDLs.

After reading, you may be correct. Sounds like I'm some bastardization of them. SLDLs touch the ground like a regular deadlift? If so, I'm not doing that. I'm staying under tension like a RDL.

I saw an old PPSA program that supersetted 5 BB RDLs with 5 Pendlay rows at the same weight. I’m going to throw that into the mix I think because I liked Pendlay rows when we did them and haven’t done them in a while.

Starting week 4 today after chairing a 4h zoom meeting. Yuck!

I've never done them but my understanding is that it's an RDL without bending you knees.

I finally beat the Wednesday no program blues. Put together a plan with some different Olympic lifts. I had never done any snatches before today and was pretty nervous about trying them out in front of everyone at the gym but man they felt good. I finished with a DL, shrug, hang clean, muscle snatch combo that got my HR up to 130 on my watch.

I think I'll slowly try to progress with those lifts on Wednesdays and I can finally have something positive to do.
