W2D4 done
I had to do BB incline, my dbs don’t go up that high. That push down/hammer curl SS is rough.

Bonus submission
My son finished W2D3
His sets of 2 were at a PR weight for him. He’s pretty proud

W2D1 done. Felt great. Going to try and play catch up this week before heading out of town for baseball this coming weekend.

W2d3 down. Those heavy squats were good the upright rows had me heaving ,also supersetted them with ab rollout.

Any of yall squat hamstrings to calves?(literal max deep) Been playing with that depth for my lighter sets instead of just past parallel. I think it may be beneficial but I'm not as strong that deep either.

I do, not as strong but it’s how I like to squat unless I’m working low bar

Week two done: I’m stronger than I thought on close grip bench press. By the facepulls I thought my whole arms might pop like a sausage haha.

Yesterday on the 8 sets of 2 @80% squats we did 3 sets of 80% then added 5-10 lbs per set. For me that was doubles at 275/285/295/305/315. I have never actually squatted 3 plates before, and did deep doubles of it yesterday so that was awesome. Pretty sure my back is 100% okay after deadlifting and squatting over 315 for doubles this week.

I’m glad we ran pool season; I think this may be my favorite program that we have run. There’s enough rest to go heavy AF (even beyond the %s if you’re feeling frisky) but enough volume to get great pumps and feel like you are growing.

Also finished up week 2 today. Arms crazy pumped, about 85 minutes.

The doubles on squats yesterday were at my 1RM from the beginning of Squatober 2022. Was an awesome feeling

If you bend them they will grow.

Can’t believe it’s week 3 already.

W3D1 done, seems like a slight downtick in intensity, but maybe that’s just because bench heavy days never hit like heavy squat days. Still enjoyed it!

W3D1 done.

I agree. Seemed a little light today. My back arms were on fire after those push downs.

I agree on the light part. I definitely wanted more squat and a touch more bench. Not a fan of 2 rep sets. Also definitely agree on the pushdowns. Drop one each of the 25 and 10 rep sets; add a set to squat and row instead. That would've been my preference. I was happy with the AMRAP set. I hit 12 (maybe could've pushed 1-2 more with a spot). Using a calculator its about 5 lb over my current 1RM.

If y’all find the workouts easy then raise the tm% to 95 :)

After seeing everyone say it was a light day I rounded my %s up a bit. I got 7 on the amrap. The squats were definitely light but I thought it was a good workout.

I definitely didn’t feel like it was too light on bench. I did get 8 on the amrap. Squats were supposed to be easy. I treated them like speed squats. Don’t know if y’all noticed but that was a bunch of triceps

I didn't want to start a new thread for this. But I just got back from my wife's OB appointment and I found out that her blood pressure was slightly higher than the Obgyn was comfortable with. So they are inducing her tomorrow night!

I thought I had 3 more weeks to go, but plans have now changed.

Any advice fellow H&F dads?

I was about to ask you when she was due. Nothing you can do now but pull your seatbelt tight and hold on.
