Stuff is pretty good. Took me awhile to drink it because it is super heavy but I'm going to try it throughout the week and see how my energy levels are.

Coupling this with a high protein low carb diet (not keto).

Isn't there a lot of fat in BPC?

I have never been a coffee drinker but on days I fast I drink black coffee and wouldn't mind suggestions on anything that has a good flavor with no calories.

tons of fat.

i don't know that there's a good option. my wife uses nutpods which is whole 30 approved and super low calorie.

Expect many more trips to the bathroom during the week.

I have a regular at 8:30 on the dot. Should I expect some 8:25's?

It's not a fasting thing. It's more for ketosis and just overall energy and hunger cravings.

Probably has about 400 calories in it.

Did you use coconut oil or MCT?

I actually liked the taste.

Coconut oil.

Just too oily.

You blended it? Mine tasted like a nice smooth latte from a coffee house.

I'm a black-coffee purist, so i don't do much bulletproof. but using the immersion blender and really high quality grass-fed butter and cream + a little cacao (or even better for you, ground cacao nibs), i enjoy it now and then. i use flavorless coconut oil or mct and really strong coffee.

off-topic but related: I'm working on my keto shake recipe. I'm trying to get it down so I can make a bunch of powder all at once and only have to add a couple things. Will post when i have it down.

I may be behind on this, but what are the advantages of the bullet proof coffee?

What 2001 said. But really just a way to get fat macros sans protein or carbs or just drinking straight oil.

MCT oil (and the coconut oil from which it's derived) is quickly metabolized in the liver, into beta-hydroxybutyrate and acetoacetate (roughly speaking, ketone bodies).

Quick energy from fat and avoids insulin spike you'd get from glucose or fructose. Add lots of caffeine, and after you shite a rocket, you're ready to fly to the moon.

The other SFA from the butter (and cream if you go that route) is slower burning, for satiety.

I had a massive poo at 11. It was delayed but it was massive. Touched the top rim. I was proud.

You broke your fast if you drank coffee. Read or watch Dr. Rhonda Patrick on this subject.
