This is an entertaining read on theoretical coaching changes this year. Enjoy.

Who's had experience with this from lifting? Any squat or lunge variation aggravates for me, as does any cycling.
How long did you have to treat it and rest it before resuming normal lifting? Thanks.

Anyone who starts another "Do we keep (insert name here)..." thread before the end of the season should be f*cking banned.

Brian is awesome. I remember his training logs he'd post in the t-nation forums. Fantastic stuff! Plus, he's just a very positive individual and very encouraging to others who ask him for advice.

I have one and use it from time to time for my lumbar. About half of people who use it get a benefit from it, and others not so much. You do not have to be completely vertical to get an effect from it. I generally go down to about 45-60 degrees below parallel and get plenty of traction and back relief from it. I'll do it anywhere from 1-5 minutes, but I've heard some can hang longer than that.
Important note: DO NOT use if you have a history of blood pressure issues, or any retina issues with your eyes.

I like the helmet.
But the jersey number font is just stupid.

Wonder who they’ll get
I know it's a pipe dream, given he's a California man and has history with the Cards, but hiring Mark McGwire would be awesome, IMO.

Just because the author is a physician doesn't mean he/she is credible.
Do you know how much diet & exercise they learn in four years of medical school? Almost ZERO!!
Cheers!

a goblet squat is no different then a back squat from the knees perspective.
Respectfully disagree. I can much easier get into a full squat position with the weight in front of me as opposed to on my back...and front squats are not an option due to AC joint issues in my left shoulder. Back squats are an awesome exercise, but not everyone is built for that movement, and what worked for one lifter at a period in their life doesn't always work for them at another period. 20+ years of my own experience in the gym and prior experience working as an exercise physiologist at a PT clinic with athletes has shown me that.
You are right about the heavy abuse of steroids and anti-inflammatory meds being a major issue in regards to Coleman, Yates, et al. But their training styles during their BB careers can't be discounted. Also, making a blanket statement that MY knee pain "has nothing to do with squats" is simply ignorant to state.
