Thinking about picking up a new bench I found on Craigslist. What do you guys think?

I hit a huge 30lb PR on cleans the other day for 185.. I caught it really high though and I know I have some lbs left in the tank if I keep working on technique and getting under the bar. That's really motivating..I wanna hit technique work hard. That's one fun part of Oly lifts, I can PR while in a calorie deficit as my technique improves.

Honest question. Why would you do neck work? What’s the end game or goal for that?

I have a slight degenration in a disc, probably from an old football injury.
I can do light, controlled neck stuff to keep my muscles strong and try to keep damage minimized or risk futher degenration and spinal surgery. Spinal surgery is about a dicey an operation as you get, so it's an easy choice.

Power Cleans 155 EMOMx8
Squats 285 2x5; AMRAPx1 (15)
Bench 220 2x5; AMRAPx1 (10)
V-Bar Lat Pulls 3x10
Tri push downs 3x12
Curls 3x10
Shoulder Flies 3x10
Shrugs 3x10
I def could have gone more than 15 on squats. Not sure why I stopped. Bench is bleh right now. Merry Christmas ya filthy animals.

Heavy today. 4 single benches above 90%. 2 deadlift singles above 90%. Some platform dead work and then 3 giant sets of weighted pushups, GHR's and board press.
Did some tabata, alternating between sandbag cleans with 250 pounder and sledgehammer swings.
I think I may need a deload. I feel pretty beaten up.

Neck work is done because a strong yoke is a health yoke. A strong neck makes you stronger and more resistant against sudden jolts therefore less likely to get a concussion or getting knocked out.
Usually should be done frequent with high reps and progressing very slowly. Submaximal daily work is best.

I don't do daily, but everything is submaximal, slow and fully under control.

I would have gone further on squats, but Holiday food throws me off. I like the emom a lot. Focus on being explosive.
