Squat-

6x6 @ 245
4x4 @ 285
2x2 @ 320

Db lunges
4x10 @ 45’s

Bb rdl-

3x10 @225

Db shrugs

4x20@ 80’s

Goblet squat-

2x20 @ lol air squats

Finishing up “return of dr jacked “ tomorrow, then off till next Monday; Going to test starting then. Anyone have a good warmup for testing one rep maxes. I’m working off 380 for squat, so I figured %’s until get there then trying for 2% jumps until it’s obvious I’m done.

should be fine. i would just warm up starting with the bar, doing sets then adding 50lbs or so until you get to working weight.

Walked one mile with a 45 lb plate in my pack this morning.

173 lbs

Gym before work. AMRAP circuits, as many rounds as I could fit in 15 minutes.

Circuit 1
DB lunge walk (40 lb DBs)
DB ground to overhead press (40 lb DBs)
Pushups
Butterfly sit ups

Circuit 2
1 minute cardio sprint (treadmill, rowing machine, and stair climber)
weighted planks
Hanging leg raises

Heavy bag for 10 minutes.

Yoga/stretch for 15 minutes. My flexibility is poo, trying to improve that.

Taking a break from impact this evening, will ride my bike for 30 minutes or so.

I'm taking it easy all week per my doctor. Carpal tunnel release was a success. No more numbness when sleeping.

My DL max is way out of proportion to my squat max, so I’m dropping DL weight to my squat weight+25 and adding in multiple sets. Knees need a break anyway. Also starting to progress on RDL instead of using it as strictly warmup.

Overhead Press (Barbell)
Set 1: 45 lb × 8 [Warm-up]
Set 2: 75 lb × 8
Set 3: 75 lb × 8
Set 4: 75 lb × 8

Inverted Row (Bodyweight)
Set 1: 10 reps
Set 2: 10 reps
Set 3: 8 reps

Romanian Deadlift (Barbell)
Set 1: 45 lb × 8 [Warm-up]
Set 2: 95 lb × 8 [Warm-up]
Set 3: 135 lb × 8 [Warm-up]
Set 4: 145 lb × 8
Set 5: 145 lb × 8
Set 6: 145 lb × 8

Deadlift (Barbell)
Set 1: 135 lb × 5 [Warm-up]
Set 2: 185 lb × 5 [Warm-up]
Set 3: 225 lb × 5
Set 4: 225 lb × 5
Set 5: 225 lb × 5

Skipped the gym and went to the park since it's nice outside.

4 miles in 41 minutes

Any recommendations on good running shoes? Currently running in Asics gel venture 7s. They're fine when I'm not fat. Been getting shin splints lately now that I'm 15 to 20 lbs overweight.

I’m a fan of the Brooks Ghost running shoes. Have been wearing them for years, never had shin splint issues

I think Brooks Glycerine is one of the most cushioned shoes you can get in to - definitely for a neutral runner, and as you know fit varies between brands, but if someone asked me for a cush ride shoe, that one immediately comes to mind.
