it's amazing. I still mix in some high rep stuff occasionally, but damn not like I used to.
most of my sets are 5 or less, with some accessory work afterwards in the 10-15 range. My joints are happier, and I'm happy wit hthe results.

I find that volume drains my CNS much faster than heavy lifts. Sure, heavy is harder, but you only have to do it a few times.

Transitioning more into power for squats.
5 supersets of 2 SSB squats and RDL/stiff legs from the floor. Band tension of about 100-120 lb at the top with 255 on the bar. 335x2 on the stiff legs.
3 sets of calves, glute ham raise and reverse hyper un giant set form, then finishing with a core circuit of yoke walks, hollow rocks and GHR situps.

After posting ITT a few weeks ago of hitting a personal milestone of sets of bench of 225, I was super amped with the pre workout, and yesterday I repped out 245 of a solid set of 10 with no spotter.
Still not respectable given my weight ( I’ve decided to cut out Dr Pepper again, and am at a week without any sweet tea/ cokes)

Celebrated America with a recovery upper day.
2 giant sets of 185x5 flat bench, rope sled pulls and side laterals. 2 more giant sets of banded bench, more rope sled pulls, weighted dips, curls and tricep extensions.
Finished with strongman circuit. Farmers walks 160 per hand for distance, sled drags and hitting a tire with a sledgehammer. 3 circuits.
Musical choices included Springsteen's Born in the USA, Top Gun theme and Rocky IV soundtrack.

It’s time to reset on squats. After the two sets of 5, I couldn’t even get to parallel on the 3rd set. Good timing, anyway. I’ll be coming back from the beach next week so a reset will probably be a good thing. And I’m sure OHP is up next.

Doubles up to 355 in giant sets with glute ham raises and romanian dl's with DB's. After that, 4 supersets of weighted one leg squats and stiff leg deads from the floor, single rep at 365. Then some calves and more ghr's.
Finished with some cardio. Dragged a 210 pound sled around for a bit interspersed with so.e hollow rocks.

Finally got 225x10 no spot on bench this morning.
Not as impressive as some of y'all folks, but it was a big goal for me. 315 is my next goal.

It's probably form only. If you can do 225x10 then you have the strength especially at 10 reps because form breaks terribly at high reps.

Still working out but life catching up so less posts recently.
Getting married Saturday so trying to cram in workouts early in the week since Thursday - Sunday will be shot.

Volume bench for me today. Big day for me, hit 3 sets of 5 reps with 225 for the first time since prior to my shoulder injury. Did that in giant sets with rows and side laterals. Then 3 more giant sets of weighted dips, flat db bench, curls, upright rows and skullcrushers.
Finished with 3x3 trap bar deads off a deficit, top set was 460, supersetted with 200 lb sandbag carries.

On my way home from vacation. I was able to keep my protein levels high with eggs, whey and shrimp. So hopefully tomorrow won’t destroy my very soul. Back to the diet and back to the deep self torment of the barbell grind.
