Yep, that's why I stopped after my main movers.

Back day yesterday. Passed on the deadlifts cause my legs were still shot from leg day. Efffff that. Did some delt work as well. I'm getting better at isolating them.

Today I knocked out 5 sets x 1 rep @ 80% 1RM flat BB bench. Supplemented with tri's and absolutely torched them. Close-grip BP, Cable pushdowns, bent over cable kick backs, and wrapped up with weighted (25 kg) dips.

Much needed 2 day weekend rest coming...then I get to go hard next week. Only one day @ work for me for the next 9 days!

Finished my first week back with heavy bench. Worked up to 240x2.5 on paused bench. 4 giant sets of 85 lb weighted dips, close grip dumbbells, overhead press and curls.

Farmers walk afterwards. 1 set with 400 lb total, 4 more with 500 lb total. 3 sets of 2 trap bar deads with 500 lb to finish.

Started week 3 of my chest development routine yesterday. Only 3 more weeks til I check in on my new BP max. 300 is coming

5 x 8 @ 205 flat bench. Get to bump that weight up next week (215 I'm sure) and drop to 4 sets. Supped with upright rows, lateral cable extensions, and light arnold press.

Today is back & rear delts. Gonna see if my DL has improved any. Grip needs some work for sure.

Loving my new split and going heavy every workout. Probably wont last long, but with lots on unintended no-lift days scattered about for the next 3 months it might be good.

Get big or die trying. Jk. Don’t die. But I love lifting heavy.

As I get older i find that lifting heavy my body responds really well.

Reps all the time and I just feel worn out. Just gotta watch the neuro side with this structure. See how it goes, but a month in and feels good!

Today was rowing and DUs in Crossfit so I hit chest.

Flat: Warmups, 205x8, 215x7, 225x7
Incline DB pullovers: 50x8, 60x8, 70x8
Side DB raises: 35x8, 40x8x2
Upright Rows: 65x8, 85x8x2

Bench creeping back up after the pinched nerve and time off. Hopefully back to 245-255 for 6-8 reps in 4 weeks.

Tomorrow will be an off day. Will get my 2nd and 3rd chest workouts in Thurs and Sat.

I recover so much better on High Intense lifting. Volume work makes me hurt for days.

..and they great thing is that I’m able to hit higher volume when I decide to do it.

Most of the time I’ll limit my reps to 8 or less.

My last max reps at 225 was 22; hit 30 unbroken at 195 last year dicking around.

This is me too. I hate higher volume and higher rep work. For a while I was doing training max squatting every day and tolerated it just fine.
