More chest today... W3D1 of the Bench Press cycle

Flat: Warmups, 215x8, 230x8, 245x7
Incline DB Pullover: 60x8, 70x8, 80x8
DB Lateral raise: 40x8x3
Upright row: 85x10, 95x10x2

Working back from my pinched nerve. 2 weeks ago, it was 205x6 on my last set, so I’m almost back to where I want to be which is 245-265 for 6-8 reps.

Goal is 290-295 for my last single on Thursday.

I never see any lifters using it. Want to check it out, but not sure what to actually do on it.

Cool.

Volume squats. I took your workout and did 275x5 SSB squats with Hatfield squats at the end to extend the set. Supersetted that with 315 SLDL from the floor, then 225 RDL the last two rounds of 5 rounds.

Hamstring focus for me right now, so then did some calves supersetted with GHR. Finished with yoke walks in giant sets with hollow rocks and GHD situps.

W11 D1

Bench 225 x 14
Squats 355 x 18

I started a reset across the board. Coming back from my beer...beach vacation I thought it was a good idea. Old reps at 225 were 12. Old reps at 355 were 13. fricking destroyed squats. I will probably do the same numbers on Monday. I’ll be pumping my body with protein today so we will see what happens.

Recovery day.

2x5 bench with 185 in giant sets with side laterals and rope sled pulls. 2x15 dips in giant sets with more rope pulls, upright rows, curls and skullcrushers.

Finished with 3 supersets of 160 lb per hand farmers walks for 30 seconds and 20 seconds of battle rope.

Been fighting a cold but still staying mostly on schedule.

Yesterday I bumped up my hypertrophy workout:

4 x 8 @ 215 flat BB bench.

Supped with mid delt and ab work.

I hurt my lower back (probably doing dead lifts, but it actually gave out while I was doing farmer's walks) a couple weeks ago and have been really careful with my workouts. Have also started stretching a solid 10 minutes after each workout. The back may have been a blessing, as I feel great now. Stretching is awesome.

Back and rear delts today. No deadlifts yet

I've been extremely lazy about working out my upper body. I'm almost always doing nothing but lower.

It's called the human centaur.

I had heavy squats last night. I was feeling crappy, so I just worked to an amrap with 335. Then 4 rounds of front/belt squats in giant sets with GHR and reverse hypers.

Finished with supersets of sled dragging and light calf work.

MOAR BENCH!

Flat: Warmups, 240x1, 255x1, 270x1, 285x1, 295x1
Tempo bench (40x1): 185x3, 205x3, 220x3, 235x3

Flat is up from 275 last week. 300 was doable today, but I’m happy. Hopefully I get 310 next week and 320-325 in 2 weeks.
