You’ll be in the 1000 pound club in no time. Good work.

Chiropractors are garbage. They offer a quick fix but never solve the underlying issue. Find a physical therapist.

A lot of them will try and sell you 100 dollars worth of useless supplements too. A physical therapist is definitely the way to go, especially for an chronic issues.

I’m going to change up my workout routine. I want to do more conditioning during the week. I’m switching to a 3 day lifting schedule that is laid out in 531. I won’t be doing every major exercise every week anymore, but I’ll have an extra week of lifting before a deload. This will give me more time to train the things I want to in between, recover from heavy lifting days and give me more determination when the lifting days come around to work harder.

When I hurt my back a few months ago, I saw a PT who also did Chiro. LSU uses him on their athletes. Because of him, I actually know what was causing my problem all these years. I have complete control over it now. A doctor would have told me to stop working out. You can slap whatever letters behind your name. It’s about knowledge and application of experience.

His name is Jon Hymel. His office is right off Bluebonnet in Baton Rouge. I HIGHLY recommend him. His goal is to see you as little as possible. He wants you better and back doing whatever it is you do. I saw him maybe 5 times. Haven’t been back in 3 months.

Deload week.

Squat: 135x5; 185x5; 225x5
Deadlift: 245 5x10
Walking lunges: 95 5x10
Abs

Have a friend that has never worked out before and started lifting on BBB with me back in October. He started a max week this week and I am so jealous at how much stronger he’s gotten over the last 4 months

He went from 115x2 squat on his first workout to a max of 215 in that short amount of time. About a ~100lb increase. That would take me years now

That's the thing about newbie gains. The people in here who post as newer people, I'm always slightly jealous bc they're about to make gains that I would love to get.

That's why there's never judgment. No matter where you're coming from, you can make strong gains an older lifter's going to envy if you work consistently.

Last night I had phase-1/cycle-2/week-1/day-1 of krypteia

Press-5s pro
Press fsl

Kb front squats-6*5
Kb sldl-6*10

So went up on the kb squats to the 53 lbs bells. So I lowered the reps to 5, I'll go up to 7 then 10 over next two weeks. I'll continue this for a while.

Started the workout with 19 min of conditioning. Brian Alshure recommends this and I need to start since I'm trying to cut. Did a 10 min emom of 7 burpees. Will go to 8 then 9 then 10 over next few weeks.

I am being very careful of where/how my legs land on the burpees as many times I get knee pain in my left knee due to landing weird.

Goal is by the time I finish krypteia to get 100 burpees in 5 min. Need to stay consistent. 7 emom was not bad. I don't think ten would be terrible, buy once you start getting on the other side of that where work is greater than rest it is going to get stupid difficult. I'll prolly push it to 13 emom and then move to the greyskull layout I have posted before. Doing 20 e2mom, then 30 every 150s, 40 e3mom. Once I get to that point I will have to evaluate a path forward.

I've been doing the 1000% Awesome template and My Squat has been shooting up like crazy. Bench feels weaker honestly and Deadlift is okay.

PR Test Day 1

Bench 250 x4. Almost had 5 reps but got stuck on the second half of the press. Time to do some tricep work.

Squat 345 x5. Monster PR. 4 Plates, I'm coming for you.

I've felt like trash all day. Definitely going to sleep well tonight.

Deads 3x5-245
RDLs 5x10-165
Hip Thrust 5x10-165
Reverse Hypers 5x10
Hypers 5x10

I’m going to remove RDLs. Redundant. Can someone tell me how the frick I’m supposed to use a barbell on hypers? I’m using a 45 lb plate right now. I’m going to add more weight sooner than later. How do you get into position with the barbell?
