Wall balls are one of the exercises that really sets off my knee. Form breaks down with high volume so... Gonna suck. That and I'm still coughing so I have no idea what is gonna go down.

Guess I should try 20lb wall balls for scoring then when I get exhausted just switch

I might do the 20 just to see what I can do, but I hate it.

I’m good at wall balls and I’m good on the rower

But anything more than seven rounds is pushing it, pretty much a min to do 19 cals and then the next min for 19 wall balls

Sam Briggs got nine which is nuts

I always do Rx when possible because I know there will be 1 or 2 that its not even an option. Prefer to see where I stack up as opposed to crushing a scale.

The squat portion of the wall balls are gunna suck with my height, but it allows me to get a calorie every pull on the rower pretty easily so I'm excited for this one. Already enlisted a get back coach to yell at me to slow down so I dont die in the first couple rounds

This is actually a tall man's workout. Wall balls will kill your legs but when you're taller it's easier to reach that 10ft mark. And rowing as a tall guy is much easier to hit 19cal. In a full sprint 1 pull = 1 calorie for me. When pacing it'll be 1.5-2 pulls per calorie

yeah I'm pretty excited about this workout

I think I should be able to get 7 rounds pretty comfortably

I crush WBs

Even though I despise rowing, I'm decent at it once I get in the flow

You should be able to still get 1 cal per pull even when pacing.

Catch your breath on the release.

I hate WBs but you're right. Squats kill me but the throwing portion is a non-factor so my arms will be ready to row every round. Biggest issue will be not going out too fast. Couldn't ask for a much better workout. I can pull 1500 at a "resting" pace, so I'm gunna try to stay there and not get up past 1700.

I'm not even 5' 8" anymore. 1 calorie per pull when I am fresh isn't a problem. It's going to be a real problem in every round after 1 today. I'm hoping to get 4 rounds in.

We have a part A before this though. 15 minutes to find a heavy set of 5 overhead squats. I foresee some sandbagging on that one.

I can row sub 7 2k. I will not get a calorie a pull. I will be around 1000. It is the only hope I have of going unbroken in wall balls each time.

I believe everyone is going to be alarmed at what their quads and gluts feel like.

45 seconds on wall balls then a little over a minute of rowing plus transition will take pretty good execution and unbroken wallballs to get 7 rounds

I usually bounce between a cal per pull and 2 cals every 3 pulls. 19 cals should be 20-25 pulls early on.

...that will change after R3.

Goal is to go UB on Wallballs as long as I can.

However, my quads are still on fricked up side after a shitload of thrusters on Wednesday. I did, however, row 15 cals in 35-40 secs yesterday on my last round of rowing.

My conditioning is nowhere close to what it needs to be right now. With that said, I’ll go unbroken on the wall balls the first rd and then see how it goes. I’m hoping to get thru 5 rds. Getting it done around 3:30. Will update once I’m done.

When I saw the workout and figured out the pacing, my hope was to at least get to pick up the wallball on round 5.

You have to average 1140 cal/hr to get 19 in a minute. That's not going to be my problem. Trying to go unbroken on those wallballs will be killer. I bet after the first round I am breaking at least twice a round. My knees and quads just won't take it.

I think a lot of people will get a hard dose of reality on this workout.

I take lots of break. Some there even call them Alx breaks. Like, I have zero problem finding a place to sit down or even lay on the floor a bit during a wod.

Yeah, we don't have any such rule.

it will be for me. Getting that first calorie will eat up a few seconds. I’m going to riw at 900, period 7 rds will be out of reach I believe. I am a 6:20 Karen. 140 in 7 minutes isn’t happening. And I will be a min plus on 19 Cals. I do think 6 is doable and get a few reps on 7

I’m 5’11 and lanky

I should murder the wall balls until my legs say stop

The buttery bros just posted their video from last night they both got 7 rounds +

Also their content is going to be really good after CrossFit fired them. They coming out with a road to the games like documentary.
