I think I’m going to try to convince my husband that an assault bike needs to be our 15 year anniversary present to each other. I’ve been itching for one to incorporate into my workouts.

Get a Rogue Echo Bike.

It’s a much smoother piece of equipment than the Assault Bike and will break down less.

Both equally suck to use but the Echo doesn’t give you fake cals due to the damper. As soon as you stop peddling, it stops, no coasting cals like the AB.

GCF always schedules a low impact around the world type of workout on the Thursday’s during the open because the gym’s workout on Friday will be the Open workouts.

A few years ago, it was like clockwork that whatever movements were programmed on Thursday, would be in the Open workout that week.

I hate that bike. Seems like the arm movements are shorter than on the AB.

I want those coasting calories! Seriously, you aren't getting "free" calories. You spent those calories building up the rpms and they only way the bike can count that calories you expended is measuring though the coast. Notice how it takes a few seconds to even measure the first .1 calories when you take off.

Well, dang. I don’t have a way to try them both and need to decide. The mr is ready to purchase. Didn’t take much convincing after all.

I agree that the arms are different. I have the Xebex air bike that is similar to the Echo. Took some getting used to after using an assault bike for so long.

I will just say this. My gym has about 12 assault bikes and 1 echo. Everyone hates being stuck with the Echo. It's a race to not be last on a bike.

I second that......it feels mush smoother and studied than the assault bike.

If I was buying one it’d the rogue echo.

My old box just sold their assault bikes and replaced with all new echos.
