call me what you will but I haven't ripped since I got them in February so they've been 100% worth it. No A/C is why I need them most right now. Got tired of flipping them for burpees (EMOM10 10 TTB + Max Burpees(yes I know using them for TTB is even worse))yesterday so I took them off and my hands were so sweaty I couldn't hold onto the bar. My dainty little hands have a hard time controlling my over sized arse swinging around with weak technique.

See, when a rack is exposed to the elements (atmospheric moisture, temperature fluctuations, actual sweat, etc), not in a hermetically sealed, super-cooled, allergen-free environment, they tend to get pitted and rough and can tear the skin of even the most heat-tested cross-fitter.

I have been considering grips, but since I can't do much gymnastic stuff yet they don't feel worth it. However, grips would be great while I deadlift, clean, and jerk because the sweat that runs down my arms and on my hands interferes with my grip, even though I hook grip for all of it. Yes, I work out in the A/C and still manage to sweat that much

Get some wrist wraps. You don’t want grips for that. The wraps will give support and stop sweat.

Grips will impact your ability to grip the barbell, especially heavier weight

I agree with Lester. I only use grips on pullups, etc. from the rig.

EMOM x 20 MINUTES
Minute 1 -- 10 Sumo DL High Pull (75/55) + Max Burpees for Remainder of Minute.

Minute 2 -- 10 Hang Clean (75/55) + Max Burpees for Remainder of Minute

Minute 3 -- 10 Hang Snatch (75/55) + Max Burpee for Remainder of Minute

Minute 4 -- Rest Full Minute

*Score is total Burpees

Strength:

5 sets of triple complex:
3 strict press + 3 behind the neck press + 3 push press

WOD:
Complete complex every 4 minutes for 6 rounds:

high hang squat clean + hang squat clean + squat clean + push press + high hang squat clean + hang squat clean + squat clean + push jerk + high hang squat clean + hang squat clean + squat clean + split jerk

That is one helluva complex

Today’s stuff..

Some A workout things.

B: Every 2 min for 10 min
2 Deadlifts (climbing per set)
Handstand holds or 2-3 HSPUs

C: Diane
21-15-9 deadlift (225/155) and HSPUs

Took it easy on part B: 135, 185, 225, 275, 315

Took it easy on Diane: 7:53 Rx

Rib survived and didn’t bother me too much except for breathing since I paced it slower than normal,
