Watched the women’s south region 3/3/3. Girl I know from Larose was in heat 2, lane 4. She didn’t finish under the 49.

RSCF had a T5 Event 3 and have the time to beat in Event 2 with one heat left.

Doubt they win the event, but another T5 finish will put them in contention for a Games spot with one day left.

Hope they get a chance to wear the INVINCEBLE shirts I threw together as a benefit for Darrin and his sister in law and nephew.

Luckett is a beast. I think he was 7th in Regionals last year.

He will be a fixture at the Games for the next 4+ years as he gets better.

I’ll hit my Oly workout from my Games-athlete coach, Jared Enderton later today.

Looking back at the Regional Events, I could do OK on Event 2 and Event 6; maybe Event 5, but those step overs would wreck my back down to my feet.

Which ever workout required them to do box step overs with two 70lb dumbbells followed by walking lunges with one dumbbell in the front rack and the other extended . . . . was pure evil.

Workout of the Day

For Time:

1000m row
50 alt pistols
30 TTB


Subbed lunges for pistols.. had to scale way far.. scaled the scale of the scale . Also subbed hanging knee raises for ttb. 8:42

Today was a kick in the dick after yesterday when i ran 3 miles and cramped like a mother fricker.

Today

EMOM 225lb deadlift, working from 1 rep the first min to 10 reps the the 10th min. All sets were unbroken.

Then a metcon with 5 95lb overhead press, 5 95lb front squat, 10 push ups, 10 sit ups. It was on the beep of every 40secs, then the rest until the beep to proceed to the next movement. A total of 5 times through for each exercise.

In general, the athletes at regionals hit the wall on bench, but my bench is better than most regional athletes.

The 55 DLs at 295 would have wrecked me, though.

I have to cut down on my drinking. Pretty sure I had the worst time in that wall ball burpee deal after getting off the rower in decent time. That and I just am not used to the 20 lb ball yet.

What a bullshite week for them to put wods like this.


Chloe Smith from my box, who won the 14-15 year old girls division at the games last year, took 18:36 to do this. I haven’t been able to workout at much lately and my stamina isn’t where it needs to be. This shite is going to end up taking me 25 min probably. Yesterday the wod had 175lb snatches in. Like what the frick? Think I’ll just do something else. Not back into that kind of shape yet. Need a couple weeks
