Consumption of caffeine and when is it detrimental?

So, before I go lift in the arse crack of dawn, I take caffeine pills. They have 200 mg of caffeine in each pill, and I take two every morning, making 400 mg first thing in the morning. My question is this: how much caffeine is dangerous? And I ask this because sometimes I want a third pill, but not at the risk of my heart exploding. I don’t have time for coffee, so I can’t spread out consumption over a period of time. I have to get that shite in and move. How much caffeine can I take at once and not risk my health? I don’t take any other stimulants. I do mix creatine in my oatmeal.

How about you stop taking caffeine? You don't need it. Just get out of bed, take a cold shower, and get going.

I’ve taken 3 200 mg Prolab caffeine pills a day for a decade: no problems at all

400 mg in a single dose is a lot, but probably not too much.

On the who caffeine is fairly safe and effective.

My recommendation would be managing your overall intake to prevent your tolerance from building. I don't take caffeine on weekends, and that seems to do ok for me in limiting tolerance.

Upper limit for dangerous is extreme, but it depends on working up to that level and building a tolerance. Personally 400mg is what I take if using pills with ephedrine, or a 300mg reign.

I can ingest upto a gram a day no problem. But I worked up to that. Individual tolerance can vary. I like to take lent off from all stimulants to give me body a break from high doses. Usually around the holidays too.

And remember kids, when it comes to caffeine

If I take more than 200mg of caffeine in a single day I notice a pretty significant difference in my blood pressure. As in I’ll be at or below 120/80 in the morning and will go over 130/90 just from that much caffeine.

600mg may be ok for you but that is a good bit, especially at once.

Dang. I have to have much more regular breaks, i.e. the weekends, or my tolerance gets insanely high.

Before I started that, I'd be popping a NoDoz pill 90 minutes before bedtime just to make it that last 90 minutes, then fall asleep with no problem.

I drink coffee semi-regularly. Had a cup yesterday, but I didn’t have the pills. I used to take the pre-workouts like C4, 1MR and Jack3d. Cut that shite out. I just stick to caffeine and creatine. And I buy the pills because it’s so easy to OD with the powder caffeine. I’ve been taking 400 mg for a while without issue. I will stay with that. And I do take breaks. If I’m not going to the gym, I don’t take caffeine.
