I could dunk at 17-19 from 5'10 to almost 6'1 (late growth spurt). Tore up my ankles and gained weight then was never able to again. I have known tons of guys under 6' that could dunk, especially teenagers. I couldn't imagine trying to get back to that. I'm sure it is possible.

Isn't the wall on Ninja Warrior 10'?

Yes, make your legs stronger through squats and plyometrics.

I think hamstrings are important for jumps too.

6’1.5”, white, and when in my late 20s playing lots of basketball in YMCA leagues, I could only dunk a tennis ball. Sad, but true.

We will see. That’s what the guy is preaching all the time: adding length.

Had a friend in highschool that thought he was all gangster in highschool. 5'8 white boy "trained" to dunk. We all laughed at him. He wore ankle weights all the time and only worked legs.

By our senior year (like literally years of him doing this) he was able to dunk and was our track team high jumper.

That being said he did all of this at the age of 15-18. So im not sure of your age but i would mark it up to he age in life.

I did strength shoes for a little while in my mid 20’s, got to the point I could dunk a tennis ball and slightly larger balls. I didn’t really keep up with it to see it through to the full potential. I’m only 5’8” but I used to have a pretty good vertical.

Order you a pair of (jump soles). Jump rope, box jumps and run stadiums or a few flights of stairs. If possible add a weighted vest after a week or so. Hit some squats and most important always stretch

I used to train a couple times a week in the plyometric platform shoes. I assume they still make them. I did it more for volleyball than to be able to dunk, but it was the same principle. Definitely helped with my vertical.
