You probably were not having enough calories or enough fats (healthy ones) if you had low energy.

But did you lose weight?

I did it for 2 months and it worked. I stopped because my "hangriness" was noticeable and my anxiety was higher than it is normally. Eating three meals a day and cutting down on carbs and sugar was just as effective.

Lose about 15-20 lbs.

So you want to weigh 160-165 lbs? How tall are you where 180 makes you want to lose 15-20 lbs?

Now this thread will turn into people trying to tell him that he isn’t healthy for losing weight and that BMI is fake.

Thanks.

I never eat breakfast and only very rarely eat lunch.
however if you main meal is dinner don’t eat too late at night

train your appetite and make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. and drink lots of water

Yes. OMAD plus sorta keto and I’m down almost 30 lbs in 60 days. With OMAD, when you eat is more important than what you eat. If you combine OMAD with keto, it’s even better results.

Because carbs are the primary source of energy and any diet that has you removing carbs isn’t sustainable.

Did you do one meal a day? What diet did you use to get down to 165?

To be honest, this is my standard. I have one extravagant meal a day and that’s usually it. I’m about 5 pounds overweight and and have diarrhea twice a week. Diet? frick diet! Just eat less and have better meals!

Same here. I’ll drink 1-2 cups of black coffee in the morning, very rarely eat breakfast unless out with family or friends on a trip. Usually a very light lunch or early supper. If I eat lunch at noon-1pm I won’t eat again until 9–10 at night.

Honestly, try cutting carbs, like breads.

The breads man… might be my favorite food. Yeah I’ll occasionally eat dinner but I tend to just chow down on lunch and my next meal is the next lunch. Not a dietitian, probably unhealthy, but I eat good and keep off the weight.

Depending on how and how much you exercise you may not be replenishing your glycogen properly without the carbs.

Diets are not a one size fits all my cutting diet would cause weight gain in a lot of people. I hate the notion of all the gimmick diets. Figure out how many calories your body needs to reduce weight at the rate you want. Stay within that range and modify the macros based on what your body tells you you will find a happy place listening to your body unless you are addicted to simple sugars, if you are you will have to give it time for your body to settle in.

You don’t have to go full keto, but I felt much better when I started cutting breads.

I tried the paleo diet for about 4 months and got down to 10% bfi like 145#. I was skinny as a rail. Didn’t like it at all. Lost 20 lbs but I didn’t really need to lose that much weight.

Started eating normally again but IF has kept my weight in check and where I need to be. I’m 5’9 165-170. The heaviest I’ve ever been was tipping at 180. That wasn’t a good look for me.

or...just don’t eat crap.
you eat whatever you want as long as it’s made with fresh unprocessed ingredients. Dining out is fine too, just go to places where the food is prepared that way.

no fricking way I’m giving up bread for example...just don’t stuff your maw with it or eat it with fast food garbage
