This is my biggest downfall. I don't feel hungry when I go to sleep . 1-3 times a week though I'll wake up somewhere between 11-1ish in zombie starvation mode. I tend to go straight for the bullshite in the pantry (Oreos, oatmeal creme pies, cereal)..the kids stuff
I manage a pretty healthy weight 180-190 6'0.. run 5 or 6 days a week. I would really like to cut this out though. I have pretty good willpower during normal operating hours but none when I wake up middle of night.

Anyone else deal with this or am I a complete weirdo ? Any tips to help with this ? TIA

You didn't eat some candy bars and junk when you were 10?

I’m the same but it’s before bed.
8:30-9:30 I get the snack craving.
Peanut butter can curb it but dang it’s 250 calories in a small cup.

Anyone have tips for late night eating?
Glass of water, milk, peanut butter ok?

If I wake up really thirsty, I’ll sometimes go take a few chugs of Fairlife chocolate milk.

Chug a 32 ounce cup of water before you go to bed.

You'll pee a lot, but you'll feel extremely full.

Sugar cravings late at night are controllable. Just gotta break the habit. If you resist the urge for a few weeks in a row it will subside completely, but be careful with all your other meals too. Eat Whole Foods and proper portions around the same time of day if you can. Try to cut out the excess sugar in foods in general and the cravings aren’t as strong.

Eat your largest meal right before bed to the point you don’t even want hear about dessert.

Drink a scoop of casein protein before bed. Keeps me full through the night

No, because that’s a choice I don’t need to make because I eat better during the day.

Not at all, I have no problems making that bowl of ice cream at 9pm and watching another episode of whatever I'm streaming that day

But in all seriousness, I often find myself not hungry but just wanting to chew on something, not necessarily eat. If drinking some water doesn't get the desire to go away; I'll find a piece of gum, raw veggies, almonds/peanuts, or just say F it and grab that bowl of ice cream from above.

I'm a terrible sleeper. I've realized that some of the times I wake up and can't get back to sleep are because I feel hungry. I sleep on my side and I don't really feel it when lying like so. I realized it while lying on my back one night. Sometimes if I'm having a time when I can't sleep, I'll just grab a small handful of peanuts. It does the trick without eating too much or getting a bunch of crap like sugar.

I'm so blessed to have a good sleeping pattern. By 10pm I'm knocked out until 4am. I don't think I ever once in my adult life woke up and ate.

Another rude and judgmental post from you. They’re kids. Nothing wrong with moderation. Live a little.

Not sure why or how but since starting this thread I’ve actually been doing good on this. Maybe it was a couple of the condescending dickweed comments . So for the perfectionist pricks that replied I commend you

Just curious if you apply this logic to things other than food? Plenty of shite is just bad for you.

I work graveyards so it’s a little harder since I’m sleeping during the day but my snacks are the same whether I’m sleeping day or night.

Anything 3 hrs before bed 7:00 PM or 6 AM I will drink a casein shake, snack on some pecans, eat a few strawberries, or a handful of cherries. I also eat a bowl of clear soup while at work or awake on my off days if I start feeling hungry
