Yep. I missed the window, and I’m good on my protein for now, but I want to try theirs if it goes on discount again.

I’m 53. Training schedule like you, except traditional lifting in the AM and jits in the PM along with some light standup stuff mixed in. I took creatine back in the day among other stuff but that was a past life. Kinda wrote it off but honestly reading 777’s posts on its benefits I got back on it last year and also thanks to him upped dosage from 5mg to 10mg and it does indeed work. I use Creapure powder mixed with water.

My wife finally came around to taking it. I was telling her all the different benefits and virtually no downsides if it doesn't disagree with your stomach and cause bloating. I have creapure that I take. She saw some article the other night and just casually said maybe she should get some. I told her we have a tub in the kitchen, and I've been making her protein smoothies and throwing a scoop in there. I already got my daughter taking it to help with track performance and recovery.

That’s the brand my 15yr old takes.
I may start taking some myself and see if I see any benefit to it as I am over 40yr old myself.

trying splitting the dose then

My brother…split the dose. I take the first in the morning pre-workout, the second around lunch. No tummy troubles

I'm going to try upping mine as well. I had been adding it to my preworkout, but lately I've been making smoothies at lunch and putting it in there.

How much you spending on those?
$28 a month. Amazon link LINK
Do you take 3 a day? All at once?

the new studies show 5g daily is not enough for all the performance increases and health markers. overall loading is dumb if just doing it for muscle saturation. but if you use 10-20g daily you will get better results. Despite what we thought before all the newer studies are showing results are pretty much dose dependent
Thanks. I started at 5mg and it felt like the results tapered off after a few months and now I have bumped up to 10mg and I feel like I’m getting better results. If that tapers off, I’ll move up to 15mg, then 20mg., etc. I usually take a dose (1/2 of total daily intake) in the morning, then one in the evening.
I use Nutricost powder ordered off of Amazon, but I may switch over to Naked brand as I really like their protein powder, and can get a decent discount if I subscribe through their website.
To OP: I’m in my late 40’s and it has only had a positive effect on me.

Don’t want to highjack the thread, but does creatine break or diminish he benefits of fasting? The research I’ve read says it does not break a fast, but I wanted to know if anyone here had any thoughts on this.
Posted on 4/12/25 at 3:13 pm to TigerJack8
No but the only benefits to a fast is it helps you stay in caloric deficit
Nothing special at all about fasting, all the science actually shows that. I used to do 72-96 hour fast all the time and still do OF but nothing special about it

Man this is what I’m worried about.
Did y’all hear Rory say he takes 20mg a day.
I’ve always taken creatine hcl to avoid the stomach issues, but it would cost like $3 a day in the hcl.
