Finished up, was a late night for me as had 6th grade math homework to do with oldest tonight. Everything went easy but the last set of push-ups which got difficult.

I did sub regular bar dips for bench dips.

He must have been reading my posts.

Seesaw wasn’t too bad today. Just took forever. 7th and 8th on squat were challenging but had some in the tank. I’m using 315 as my max (used 300 last year) so glad I’ve been able to complete everything. Bench was fairly easy. Was nice to get back into the 300’s at 90%. Haven’t done more than 295 since my show.

More seesaw tomorrow with dead’s May be fun.

Deadlift, pullups, 21's, and Farmer's walk.

RIP grip strength.

Cool thing, both my 13 and 5 yo kids were out in the garage after I finished and both were trying to do pullups.

My first time doing 21's and should have gone heavier. I don't know why but farmer walks get me fired up. I went 20lbs heavier today on them.

In the books, 50g protein right off the bat. I love coming back into this thread around 7-8pm and reading experiences.

Light weights today = crocs with socks.

Deadlifts felt great @ 300lbs.

Forearm pump is great after that cardio!

Undershot the 21s a bit so I went heavier on the carrys. My forearms had an incredible pump too.

Was it just me or did it feel like a typo on the workout and the deadlifts and pulls ups should have been a super set. I didn’t dare stray from the workout, just a thought I had

Talking about pull-ups. We were down the street Saturday night for homecoming stuff. All the young kids were doing pull-ups in their suits. My daughter was the only girl to get one in her dress!

I havn't done it yet but looking at it I thought the same thing. This is only the second program I've done of his but pull ups have always been in a superset.

ETA: Actually, this is the first time I've seen PULL ups. The others have always been chin ups. He even underlined the PULL.

Got smoked by the workout this morning. Maybe not enough recovery after doing Mondays late evening

I caught the pullups this AM also Read workout yesterday and was thinking it was the deads/chins SS and realized this morning it was different. Farmer Walks trashed me today. I am tired but glad it is in and done.

Pull-ups as their own sets with 2 min rest = better be dangling some extra weight I think

yea its pullups and it almost a max effort so weighted if you can get more than 5 reps. But the key is these should be very very strict. body in a straight line, almost a hollow hold, dead hang and pull to the chest, not just chin and a slow 3 second or so eccentric portion.

and yea he normally does chins, first time i have seen pullups.
