I’m running pregame MWF right now. Should I go MWTh that last week to have a day off before this starts or just say frick it?

Also, are you deloading between plans? Saw in one of the threads you suggesting:

Sept - let’s pregame
Oct - squatober
Nov- benchamin Franklin
Dec- deadcemeber

I saw the schedule posted earlier and Saturday 10/1 is a squat day but Sunday is an off day before going to a M-F schedule. So either way you do it is probably fine. Maybe if I was squatting that F I'd go MWTh but it's not gonna really matter.

Something 777 pointed out to me so I went and looked myself - deadcember is typically super low volume aside from the 5 days per week of deadlifts. If you're doing a squat heavy program, bench heavy program, then deadcember I don't see why you really need a deload in the middle as long as you're not neglecting recovery

I want to participate in Squatober this year but I’m not sure of program/schedule.

Do I really need to buy it?

Went back a few pages and read the posts. I'm in.

A buddy from where I worked out in the past talked about this all the time and I wasn't able to do it with him then, so I'm in now!

Remind me again how we set our target weights. I don’t test maxes.

i suggest using this to estimate max. then take 90% of that and use it as your training max to set target weights.

What’s everyone’s diet look like during squatober? Short month long bulk? Eat everything in sight?

Keep eating as usual?

Dunno man, I’m fat enough as it is. May just keep at maintenance like I have been, and diet after.

I would gain 25lbs in a month eating everything. I ain’t looking to jack up my %BF.

I’m in your boat. I’ve been doing Silverback and trying to eat big on my protein and fat but staying away from extra carbs. So far I’ve gone down almost 2% body fat and up 3 lb of muscle.

yea just try and stay at maintenance but up the protein and lowering the carbs is going to be most peoples best bet. try and keep carbs only immediately pre but most post workout. keep fat low post workout for about 3 hours.

Not gonna lie, squatober is going to be stupid hard for me to do just due to football/baseball practices; gonna complete it but cant promise it will be on the exact timeline. these wednesday 7pm middle school games are killer on the schedule

Yes, but I still plan to use estimated 1RM-10%. I don’t test actual maxes for fear of injury.
