Grabbed a custom stealth 2 driver and 3 metal along with a Srixon ZX 3 driving iron. Super pleased with all 3 this gear vs the Callaway epic driver, rogue 3 wood and 3 hybrid I was gaming last year.

Also grabbed a Betti blade to replace my spidey putter late last year. Extremely pleased with that choice.

Still gaming ZX5s but tempted by the black mizzuno 221s. Maybe next year.

Sub70 has their 286 and JB wedges on sale for $99. Just bought 2 286 wedges. One is a 54 and other a 58.

They also have their old version irons for cheap. I may get a 699 pro utility 3 iron soon as well. I currently have 699 4 Utility and it is my favorite club in my bag.

Does that help.

Do equipment changes really make a difference for most golfers? I understand someone who has ten year old clubs upgrading, but someone who plays regularly changing clubs a year or two after buying equipment, will it make that much of a difference?

Yes, absolutely. Went from a TSR2 driver to a Paradym and picked up 15-20 yds, and my dispersion chart is so much tighter. Paradym is literally the best driver I have ever hit.

1) getting the right lessons
2) having a good fitter
3) club technology

That is usually the order of help - if you are already decent, then yes, technology can help if paired right with your swing

Golf is a weird psychological game. If you don’t think it will help changing often then it probably won’t. If having new gear gives you more confidence then it probably will help. That’s why some pros constantly mess with their bag, some have 5 year old irons and woods and 10 year old 3 woods. To say it isn’t going to help us an ignorant statement.

Back in the game after like one round per year for a decade, so I’ve been hitting Edwin Watts on the rainy days and on ebay hunting deals at night and updating shite.

Ping G15 4 wood out… Titleist TSi2 3 wood in

Ping Anser Spin Milled 1 putter out… Brand spankin’ new Odyssey White Hot OG Rossie in… Early Father’s Day from my fam. Probably a downgrade in most people’s eyes, but I got to liking the look of the mallet and couldn’t find a Ping I liked as much.

Ping Tour-S wedges out… Cleveland RBX Zipcore’s in. Also brand spankin’ new.

Kind of proud of the Cleveland’s. Sniped them laying in the bed late night for about $70/club. Delivered today!

Still playing Titleist 910D2 driver, Adams A12 hybrids, and Ping i20 irons.

Going to get fitted for irons and driver this winter most likely.

I’m one of those people that likes to have relatively updated shite, but not so new that it looks pretentious and is putting me in the poor house while I’m shooting 90.

Also how could I forget. Got 50, 54, 58 SM9s to replace 52, 56, 60 SM7s.

Can’t really tell if it’s helped but my 110-120 gap is much better with the 50. Not sure I love the 54 and 58.

Depends on the golfer on whether it helpsor hurts I guess.

Changing clubs has always been a hobby for me from the bombsquad golf.com days. It never hurt my game and I never had kids to put through college.

I think the new foam injection molded irons are the best thing to happen for the average golfer now.

That’s a steal. I have the JBs and absolutely love them. I would put them up against any OEM wedge.

I did the unthinkable and ordered PXG O311 3X forged 52° & 56° wedges. With my Military discount I got them around $130 each. Only hit on range and backyard but am pleased so far.

You didn’t wanna wait two months for the 2023 release? Black is available as a standard offering this year.

My new PXG Gen 6 irons should be here on Tuesday. Plan to give the driver and irons a test drive on Friday.

I can do a review afterward if someone wants it.
