It’s only 6k upfront and roughly 500 per month. It’s basically the same amount as pelican point.

Oh that’s not as bad as I assumed it would be.

I don't pay $500 a month for Pelican Point and I didn't have to pay any initiation fee. For $12k that first year, I better be playing 15 times a month minimum without anyone holding me up or hitting into me from the back, and I better have a cart.

That said, I'm not shitting on you or UCLUB. That's a top notch course and if you can afford it, go for it and good for you!

I don’t wanna be a member somewhere that I can’t ever get a weekday teatime. Everything I’ve read on here people make it sound like it’s completely overbooked all the time. Just wondering if that’s actually true or not.

Every once in a while I'll have a problem getting a tee time at Pelican, but that only happens when I wait until the last minute to find one. For the most part, that's not a problem there.

It's a one year wait list right now so keep that in mind.

Does that 500/mo include the cart plan?

Should look into False River Country Club. Will be opening soon and first year is members only. May stay that way as well.

It’s on the other side of the earth if you live South of downtown BR.

UClub can’t satisfy the golf demand they have. They desperately need another 18 out there instead of more subdivision filings

One of my friends is a new member and he plays once or twice during the week in the afternoons after work (he gets off around three or four sometimes). He said he has no trouble with tee times it's always wide open.

You can get tee times Tuesday to Thursday no prob. Seems like the regulars grab their times when slots open. But I’ve never had an issue. Also weekend times are available - just may not be the exact window you want.

I know you mentioned about weekdays, but they just sent out an email today in regards to a waitlist for tee times on the weekends. They only care about $$$$ over there, not the golfers experience. Dont get me wrong they have a great course and practice facilities but alot of members.

I still think they're leaving money on the table by not creating a range membership.

I'd sign up tomorrow if they'd let me have access to the range and the 4 warmup holes. I don't have a lot of time these days for full rounds, but would love to go hit range balls and walk a few holes a few times a month.

Honestly it sounds like they need to raise the initiation and/or dues. Demand is too high.

I agree though, I would never join a club where I couldn’t get a decent tee time. We have an app and availability opens up at 5 am a couple days before, just wake up early and get any time you want.

I’m not concerned with the amount of members. With Brec it’s the same thing. Get early times you gotta be ready to book it day it releases. Just don’t want 5-6hour rounds and want to be able to play on a Tuesday or Wednesday mid morning.
