You ever get to play Sweetwater CC?

I was a member there for 3 years.

Loved the course but hated the management.

They raised the rates again this year and 10 of us left. Not worth it.

TPC Scottsdale in August several years ago.

I was going to say something similar: I played Quintero (which is the most underrated/unknown great course out there) in July one year. frick me running.

Every year Cabo gets 6 weeks of oppressive heat last 2weeks of Aug and all of Sept....108-110 at 9am....played Cabo Del sol in 1996 teed off at 7:30 made turn at 9:15 ....wife went to beach...I joined John Cook and his 2 buddies for 9 holes from the tips it was absolutely brutal ...like playing in an oven...I played once that trip and although its very cheap to go to Cabo during that time frame...its truly miserable.

113 in Palm Springs. It honestly may have even got hotter after we started.

It was unbearable. My friend quit and drove home halfway through the round. I saw black every time I bent down to pick my ball out of the cup.

I was so focused on how miserable I was, I couldn’t even think of golf and by the time I got to the 18th I realized if I hit a par I’d shoot my best round ever at the time. Drove it in the sand in then from the fairway bunker to a skinny peninsula green (was a great shot) I two putted for par. Shot an 83

Yup.

Played in a scramble at Westin Mission Hills Resort in June a few years back. We teed off at 6am to beat the heat. It was 110 by the time we finished at 10:30.

Played the afternoon before in 115+ temps. Literally could not eat dinner after because I was so drained. I remember seeing a bank clock/temp sign at 9:30 pm (well after dark) showing 108 degrees.

Heat doesn’t really bother me. Play 2-3 days a week in the summer in Houston and usually tee off around 2. Cheap and have the course to myself.

Mojave Resort Golf Course. On a junket out to Laughlin Nevada Labor Day weekend. Get off the plane in Bullhead City across the Colorado River from Laughlin and the temp had to be 110, stifling.
Mid Am qualifier at the Bluffs in July. Had to change shirts after nine.
Paragons course in a tournament in September, another one for the record book of hotness.

English Turn a few years back.
We had a tournament there for our local TBAGS league in the month of August.
So hot the cart girls left the course. Was absolutely brutal!

Luna Vista in Dallas is similar. Along the trinity river so it’s muggy and still, and scorching arse hot in the summer.

Course is fun though, with the added bonus of a gun range nearby. Makes #3 interesting when you’re up on the tee box.

Golf Club of Houston in July. It was like 107 when we teed off at 3 pm. Wasn't till about 5:30 before it started cooling down.

I played the old Sleepy Hollow course on the banks of the Trinity (the old Riverlake Country Club and near where Trinity Forest is now). 104 and so muggy I was sloshing around in my shoes.
