Current rumor is that after pars on 10 and 11 he had a bad 12th hole and decided to see what was the worst he could shoot.

If I’m playing with him, I’m meeting him in the parking lot after the round

If this is true the guy is a total a-hole and should never be allowed to play in somethingbthat competitive again. Hope that’s inaccurate.

I don’t think I’d make it out of the club house; I’d be so pissed off.

It appears they arent even showing the score anymore, even after changing it to round 1

Justin Hueber tweeted it. Zire posted it on Instagram, and there are a couple guys who played in that qualifier commenting, but I haven't seen any post with first hand knowledge of what actually happened.

On Monday afternoon, Korn Ferry Tour player Justin Hueber tweeted out the card in question from Mayacoo Lakes C.C. in West Palm Beach, which is hosting one of Florida's U.S. Am qualifiers. Though Hueber blurred out the player's name, it was relatively easy to deduce it was the score of Trey Bilardello.

quote:

the 194 was incorrect . . . on the low end. Bilardello's actual score was 202, with pars on his first two holes and one on the final.

quote:

Multiple sources told Golf Digest that Bilardello, starting on his third hole, began deliberately missing shots, particularly around the green. What triggered this reaction, or the motive behind it, remains unclear. But Bilardello's group was the first off Mayacoo Lakes' second nine, and his pace held up the rest of the field. The USGA confirmed Bilardello's actions, stating they were "making a mockery of the game."
quote:

"His disqualification was deemed appropriate as a result of the individual’s failure to show consideration for other players—deliberately playing away from the hole to run up his score," Major said.

Wow, seems like this guy is actually just a complete a-hole. Hopefully Matt Every fires him.

I don’t think I would make it to the clubhouse. After 2 or 3 holes of that bullshite I would have taken a DQ for fighting on the course. What a dickhead

I don’t think that is Matt Every’s caddie. If it is the he won’t be fired, he may actually get a raise.

ETA: it appears he has caddied for Every before.

Fortis said that once their group caught the last group off the opposite side, things got more bizarre. “He would chip shots and scoot his ball around on the tee box just to add strokes, and then he would just pipe a 2-iron down the middle of the fairway, hit it on the green and then just scoot his ball around again with his putter,” Fortis said. “He’d be right next to the hole and then I guess he’d think to himself that he didn’t have enough strokes and he’d hit his ball in the opposite direction of the hole.”

Maybe he had a bet with someone that he would shoot over 200. Then he decided to shoot 69 on the back because he thought that would be funny. Either way, what a douche

“I make the turn and when I got there late to start out the day I look in my bag and I had 15 clubs,” Bilardello said. “So I got on the first tee like ‘Hey can I leave this 60 degree here? Yeah, sure.’ Well when I made the turn I went up to the official and I’m like ‘Hey I’m playing so bad I’m not going to make it. Can I just take my 15th club now put it in the bag like what are the penalties going to be like?’ Yeah you can take it. It’s gonna be a two stroke penalty for the four hole maximum.’ So I’m like, alright. I’m just gonna take eight more strokes. Whatever it is, whatever, I’ll take it.

“So I get on 10 tee and I have a driver headcover that I usually keep over my three iron and I’m like, man, I’m hitting drivers so bad I might as well go to my 3 iron. I hit OB, OB, OB. And as I pulled my headcover off my three iron, I see another club in there and I got a pull cart. So now I got 16 clubs, so now I’ve got to take more stroke penalties.”

“I mean, dude, I was injured,” Bilardello continued. “I could not. I did the best I could. I gave one hundred percent.”
