Rory McElroy must be done with the pga tour

As someone who is new to playing and watching golf, this dude comes off as a major douchebag.

He wants the tiger treatment and he’s earned it. They’re going to let him play however many events he wants. He said earlier this week he and Rolapp already worked it out.

Also he is probably mailing it in this week but more in protest of the playoff format. He rightfully thinks it’s dumb that there is no benefit to finishing first in the standings versus 20th as far as east lake. And he’s locked into to the top 30.

And most fans rightfully think he is acting like a spoiled little bitch, per usual.

He was hailed as a phenom coming into the pro game and as of now he's 2 majors away from his 2nd grand slam. Would make him one of only 3 do ever do that. His game and star power in golf have stood the test of time like many of the other greats.

I mean we could get into the firemen and plumbers versus current depth of the game discussion. And talk about how outside of tiger the number of major winners getting above 5 is significantly less than it was in the 50s/60s/70s/80s. The game is so much deeper and the equipment levels the playing field so much more. From 1946-1986 seven players got to seven or more majors. Since 1986 there’s been one, Tiger woods.

Other than Tiger, Rory, Phil and Faldo are the only guys to even have more than five majors in that timeframe. Extremely good chance Rory gets to at least seven which would make him almost inarguably the second most accomplished player of the last 50 years, depending on what Scottie does.

He also probably saved the tour. Him and Scottie both just refusing to even consider LIV.

But separately I mean in what universe does Rolapp tell Rory he can’t play on the PGA tour because he only played 14 events. Or 13. Or 10. Nobody wants that. They’ll pass a rule saying anyone with six majors and 15 years of membership is exempt from the requirement.
