From the biggest pro liv guy on Twitter. This is the best they can do

quote:

Earlier in the week at Valderrama, I was aware of rumours of 5 essential vendors telling media they were owed money by LIV Golf. So I chased the story and spoke directly to 2 of them, who said they had now been paid up to date.
Their rallying response is “yeh vendors are being paid late and not on time but they are now good”

They were late paying vendors in Mexico as well and same with Nola. It’s clear there are money issues

Scott O’Neil is part of the corrupt golf media that the PGA has purchased.

I already told you that I could see them scrubbing Indianapolis or Michigan.

Our local PGA bros titling a thread as “LIV may cancel the rest of the season” is nonsense

Here’s a longer clip - “full steam ahead” bros

All of the more low key internet smoke says LIV London is the most in doubt. Only one people really seem confident is Bedminster because of Trump.

Also separately a lot of smoke that there’s a bit of a Rahm/Bryson schism in that Rahm is allegedly looking to find an excuse to break his contract and get the hell out of a dodge whereas Bryson is truly fighting tooth and nail to keep it going.

My god I wish this would just die already. Get a few of the guys back on tour and forget this ever happened.

So Bryson is legit special in the head and Rahm just got swindled by Phil. No surprise

I think being a “disruptor” is core to how Bryson views himself. Golf is a means to an end with him. It’s secondary. It’s the way he can “disrupt” and view himself as a peer with Elon Musk and the other tech/AI moguls, or at least the Paul bros and Joe Rogan and others who reshaped media consumption.

Going back to the tour would be a failure that I don’t think his ego could handle and would, in his mind, put him back in the standard PGA tour box where he can no longer be on the front lines of disruption.

Here are more details from that interview, I never saw the full clip

quote:

He was asked how he can convince investors they’re not throwing “good money after bad”:

“You know, I think it starts with the billions and billions of dollars that have been built to create the foundation of this program, to build a brand this strong, to assemble this kind of star power, and to be a truly global league. I mean, this is a sports league that plays the most important sport in the world on five continents. There just aren't that many opportunities like that. Now, the question is, will the business be different than it was over the last five years? I can say dramatically — this will be a very disciplined approach.

“We are cutting the expense side dramatically and the revenue momentum that we've had — you know, my first year in '25, we've doubled revenue. We're already up $100 million over last year in '26. So we have really good business momentum. This is about getting the costs under control, re-imagining what the business could, should, and will look like, and then engaging our players as partners — like true equity partners in this business.”

So....no more massive guaranteed contracts to lure stars away from the Tour?? That was their entire business model and the only reason LIV had a pulse. They're cooked.

It seems that was part of the strategy to get the league going. Maybe they would have re-upped Bryson’s contract but that is no longer an option without PIF.

Tom Detry & Ben An weren’t really big name signings so I think they had already moved past the big contracts.

If LIV continues, it’s not like there’s really anyone on LIV currently who will be leaving for more money on the PGA Tour (Koepka has made $1.5M in 11 tournaments so far)

Yes obviously Bryson is looking to return to the PGA Tour… IF LIV doesn’t get the funding & no longer exists next year…

Bryson looking around is enough to scare investors I think. If you lose Bryson or Rahm, much less both, the league is finished.

Rahm already seems checked out, it’s been reported he’s not even taking part in investor pitches.

Weirdest thing in the entire LIV saga was random people who make 60k a year crying that guys making 7 and 8 figures playing golf were underpaid to the point they fabricated the PGA tour sitting on billions
