This may explain the cancellation of the New Orleans event...trying to make the remaining money last the rest of the year.
In any event, seems like LIV is sputtering on its last leg.

Oh, and FOS is an independent media company that covers sports business. It has no connection with the PGA Tour, so I'm not sure where that comment came from.

Fake news by a "news" outlet literally bought and paid for by the PGA tour. I find it hilarious the lengths the PGA tour has been willing to go to try and subvert LIV, whether directly from them or behind the scenes like this. Its pathetic for something that they claim isn't a threat at all.

I do believe that there is some uncertainty about PIF funding continuing. That makes sense with all that has been going on.
Seems like a stretch to translate that to “they may cancel the rest of the season”. That doesn’t seem likely at all.
IMO they are definitely having LIV Golf UK the week after The Open & they’re not canceling LIV Golf NY at Trump’s golf course.
I could potentially see them scrapping Indianapolis or Michigan if they literally had no funding left, but it all seems hyperbolic right now.

The word is that what has actually been “paid” through the end of the season is purse money. That’s basically in an escrow account at the beginning of the season.
But everything else, including guaranteed player payments and vendor payments, comes out an operating fund that PIF refreshes monthly.
Thats what was happening with LIV Mexico with late payments (the monthly refresh from PIF was late) and why Nola cancelled because LIV couldn’t guarantee funds for anything except purses.
Reason you’re hearing rumblings about the rest of the events is the big gap between now and the next event is PIF needs to make a couple deposits between now and then to make it that far and it doesn’t appear they’ve guaranteed that they will do so.
