I just got a PXG Allan (their version of a LAB/torque balanced putter) and loving it so far. It looks more like a traditional mallet. The shorties are automatic and it’s got a great feel off the milled face. In my first 3 rounds with it, I’m averaging 3 fewer putts than my 2024 stats per GHIN

I actually ordered a stock LAB DF3 from Dicks several months ago to try out in person. At the time I was comparing it to an old putter I had and wasn't sure the LAB was enough of an improvement to warrant the cost. I ended up buying a newer version of the old putter and returned the LAB. I came to regret not just buying the LAB then

Cobra's Descending Loft Technology puts an incredible role on the ball.
If I could design a putter, it would be a zero to minimal torque (LAB, Evnroll Zero, Edel Torque Balance) with the descending loft face insert.

I play a Phantom 5.5 and love it. I’ve played with the labs and while many seem to love it it was weird to me. I like tie hang though.

Many like the lab but I just can’t get over not having much feel off the face. Could not dial in distance control.
Odyssey AI One putters have a nice feel off the face. Not too soft, but not too firm. I rotate between a Jailbird CH and a Betty BB1W.
Go putt around for a while at a store and something will grab your attention. My rule is to come back another day to see if that particular putter still sings to you.
Any putter that you can start online, and finish around the hole with good distance control will work. They all get the job done.

Just checking back in to say:
If you’re on the fence about trying a LAB, go for it. My new MezzMax arrived a couple days ago and I’ve never put such a good roll on the ball. Setup is a little awkward at first if you’ve never used a center shafted mallet. But wow, blown away by it so far

I am in the process of doing that now. I still want to try the new Bettinardi Antidote. But have narrowed it down between a Scotty 5.5 and a Bettinardi.

I have a brand new LAB for sale. I got it as a Xmas present (not requested) and I had just gotten another putter one week earlier. Let me know if interested. Never played a round of golf with it.
