If you have VBW in newly sodded zoysia, id be talking to the landscape contractor who did the work. If it was truly in the sod, id be requesting some sort of fix. Either treatment in the future or some sort of return in compensation.

But…. I have a hard time seeing a sod farm selling sod with VBW. It just seems more likely it was already in your yard.

What is the label rate for MSM for this time of year. Per acre.

VBW
Showing up bad right now. Hit it with Celsius at the end of April. Knocked it back good but now I have some new areas of growth. I know we are getting to temp issues.

What should I spray now? About an acre of mostly centipede. A little zoysia and Bermuda mixed in as well. But 90% centipede. I have MSM turf on hand. Is that good? Recommend something else?

UC and CCL have NO interest in hosting a LGA qualifier. The LGA would LOVE for them to host, but it will not happen.

The only clubs in the BR area that will host are SM, BC, Greystone, Island and maybe Copper Mill.

BC is the best option of those to me. But the qualifier location is selected by the LGA board member (or members) that are from that area. My guess is whoever is the board member from BR likely is familiar with the staff and/or course (Santa Maria). SM is more than acceptable and/or capable to host a qualifier.

Is Celsius or MSM Turf more effective

Seeing a ton of it already. Anyone else seeing it pop up? Already treated with MSM turf so should see it dying off. Just curious if it’s trouble for anyone else this year so far.

Everyone says Poa Annua gets resistant to herbicides. Whats the explanation for a course like Fennwood Hills to have ZERO poa?
It’s not approved for residential use. Pretty hard to get in any quantity.
Yep. Msma will crush all those weeds and leave just your Bermuda. Then fertilize it.

If you’re not gonna resod the whole yard and instead go with seed, I’d just keep what you have and hammer it with msma.
lol, is someone other than BREC going to run it? If not, good luck.

Tommy Brennan made the finals of the Western Am? I’ve never heard that.

I know for sure he was runner up in the US Mid Amateur in 1994. He’s one of the most accomplished amateurs to ever compete from Louisiana.

Zachary and Ruston are in a league of their own this year. 2 equally talented teams…..Zachary better coached.

5a non select favorites — Zachary, Denham, Central, Ruston
Go this Sunday afternoon around 2 or 3. The courses will be much less crowded with the Super Bowl happening a little later in the day.
