re: BREC Golf - igotit on 5/24/19 at 8:57 am
They don’t have to break even at any of the courses based on their day to day revenue. OUR property taxes offset BRECs cost. They have no problem using that money to maintain the BREC parks across the parish that bring in NO money. They need to allocate more to the golf courses that actually b...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: BREC Golf - igotit on 5/23/19 at 10:26 pm
I agree that Carter is excellent. But why should someone who lives in the middle of Baton Rouge have to travel 45 minutes? Webb Park is in the middle of our city and is deplorable. What is the reasoning for the condition of the greens. And this is not exclusive to this year. The course is not...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
BREC Golf - igotit on 5/23/19 at 9:32 pm
What’s the problem with BREC? I understand that the majority of the courses lose money. But that doesn’t factor in our property taxes offsetting this. Why must we settle with subpar conditions year in and year out? Shouldn’t at least Webb, Santa Maria, & Beaver Creek be in acceptable shape?? ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (7)
re: Best place to get golf lessons in BR? - igotit on 5/18/17 at 8:13 am
The Blaine Patin that plays at Greystone is not the same one that works at CCL. Oddly enough, there are two. The one that plays at Greystone owns an insurance agency. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Was the new team format a success at the Zurich? - igotit on 5/2/17 at 6:11 pm
There is NO chance the tour moves the tourney to the new City Park course. It's a big step down from TPC or English Turn. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Golf Greens in and around the Baton Rouge area - igotit on 4/23/17 at 12:20 pm
Greystone gets close to the same amount of play and also has dealt with the flooding issues and it's in great shape. The condition issues with the BREC courses are a reflection of the leadership at BREC. It starts at the top....and they are lacking. It's gotten progressively worse over the la...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Golf Greens in and around the Baton Rouge area - igotit on 4/23/17 at 12:15 pm
Couldn't agree more. Fennwood's greens are as good as anywhere around. Beaver Creeks greens are not good, contrary to other reports. Too much Poa Annua all over the greens. They have a ways to go. The rest of the course is good though. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

Chris Burkstaller at The Island Andrew Lanahan at UC Travis Coxe at Santa Maria All 3 great teachers and have skill sets that are better suited for different skills of players. Chris would be great for beginners to average players. Andrew is great for your average to better than average play...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: How much should I be paying for car insurance? - igotit on 11/22/16 at 6:48 pm
Do you have a good agent? Do you trust him? Have you good experiences with the agent and the company? If yes, pay the extra $10 per month. You're getting a fair rate. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Private Flood Insurance--Louisiana - igotit on 10/27/16 at 9:23 am
Don't have time to respond completely right now, but the private market i referred to does not use an EC or any other documentation from the insured. Prices are based on occupancy, zip code, dwelling amount, etc. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Private Flood Insurance--Louisiana - igotit on 10/26/16 at 6:48 pm
There is 100% a private flood market that will write properties in an AE zone. As mentioned there are some areas that they won't write in. But, prior to the flood, they were writing in EBR, Livingston, Ascension, etc. The program is underwritten through two different companies--- Lloyds and L...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Crispy Catch on Perkins - igotit on 10/9/16 at 8:11 pm
I enjoy it very much. Very clean place. Very friendly service. And good food. Would be better suited for different areas of town that are more conducive to a drive through eatery. I could also see this doing well in Central, DS, Zachary, etc. ...

re: Referral for a surveyor in the Baton Rouge area? - igotit on 9/10/16 at 2:46 pm
If your entire house is in an X zone, they shouldn't rate you as being in an AE. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Home Value After Flood - igotit on 9/5/16 at 3:00 pm
You would pay 50 to 100k more for a non flood home? So a house that got a foot of water--- that now is completely rebuilt on the interior--- has that much less value? New Sheetrock, new cabinets, new paint, new appliances, Etc. We aren't talking about homes that have flooded over and over. Ma...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (2)
