will this still be a problem if the players will have to play early season events to get in the top 50 of the FedEx points?

For guys who aren't already there trying to get into the top 50, yeah probably. Moving forward, if they used the top 50 from this year for these tournaments next year, they could play in these 8, 2 WGCs, and 4 majors. The WGCs and the majors get you more FedEx cup points than regular tour events already (I'd assume these events would too), so if they perform well in these 14 events, they probably wouldn't need to play in many other events to get enough points to stay in the top 50. For instance, Tiger Woods only played in 17 events the 2017-2018 season prior to the Tour championship and made it into the top 30 to qualify to play without winning a tournament prior, having only 7 top 10 finishes, and missing the cut twice. I don't think it would be overly difficult for the best tour players to stay in the top 50 and still maintain a manageable schedule.

Will Rory and JT sit these out because it’s an exhibition?

PGA tour, once again, is a step behind. The guys leaving is forcing them to do something. That was the point all along. They ignored LIV and wouldn’t even talk to PGL. They were on their high horse and thought they were untouchable. Now the house is on fire and they are trying to get a hold of the fire truck. Too late.

Monaghan needs to go. Rory needs to quit being a mouthpiece for the Tour and they need some actual leadership. Wish Mike Whan hadn’t just taken the USGA job. I think he would make a great commish.

You miss the tour championships if you limit yourself to no cut events.

Don’t watch the WGCs that’s specifically what was I was referring to. It’s a horrible watch.

I don’t watch the fedex playoff really either, maybe the last day?

Again, no cuts. No interest.

This makes no sense. The broadcast is going to show you the guys at the top of the leader board whether there's a cut or not.

Clearly this isn’t helping in their retention because six more PGA golfers including 3 in the top 20 are announcing in the coming weeks. Cantlay confirmed yesterday that he has spoken to LIV and that his team was working out details.

Xander, Finau, Hideki, Cam Smith, and Hovland are also been in financial discussions with LIV. LIV is really smart because they are targeting the non-Americans. Pretty soon the PGA will be the hooters league.
