His right foot is buried in the rough.
It looks to me to be playing the same as the pros this week as it relates to the rough

Terrible golfers ain’t making putts and hitting the greens anyway (rough or no rough)
It can always get worse. They can 5 or 6 putt greens instead of 3 putting. Going from greens at 9 on the stimp meter is light years easier than 13/14. There’s also a big difference in missing the green from the rough and taking 3-4 hacks to get it near the green.
Then there’s courses like Pinehurst #2 where they would be putting and chipping the ball off the green multiple times on holes.

Riggs has to be the worst "4 handicap" in the history of golf.
I watched a putting video of his a while back. Hit about 10 putts and didn’t hit it in the same place on the face once

Having caddies to find the balls in the rough obviously a tremendous help. Def saved them at least 10 strokes apiece

There has been a ton on rain in the Mid Atlantic area this May. Think PA got close to or set a record for rain.
If they played 15 days ago, those greens would have been nowhere near as fast as they should be Thursday this week.

I shot 98 and 101 there last year. It was hard but not impossible. Best greens I have ever played on. I’ll be there this week in person. Love the club house.

The Bryan Brothers and Horvat played 36 holes there. George was +11. Wesley was +14. Grant was +23. Wesley didn't take strokes for hitting the wrong ball two different times.

Barstool guys played from the tips (15 days before) Freaking Trent who sucks arse shot 104 and Francis shot 90
I watched Bryson play it on his channel and saw him struggle to finish even par. Rory said he shot an 81 there. I’d take anything the barstool guys post with a grain of salt. They’re the biggest reverse sandbaggers in the YouTube space
Wesley Bryan, an actual touring pro, shot 75-79 there a month or so ago. He’s shot many shots under par at other US Open venues in their “major cut series.” This course ate him alive. George too, and they’re actually legit good golfers in that space

So we're to believe Trent who only this year started breaking 90 from the white tees went to Oakmont and shot 104 from 7500 yards. I'm skeptical.

Yep, totally believable

Yea I doubt they played it from 7500 yards. The only saving grace I would say for Trent is there’s not a lot of water. So in theory he could just keep hacking the ball forward.
Regardless, the course is really starting to dry out this week, it’s going to be a bear.

Their shot tracers are a joke. Bet they dropped 100 balls each.
Those guys suck and those greens and fairways were super generous with how soft they were playing.
In 2016, DJ shot a -4 under and 3 guys shot under par and the rough wasn’t close to what it is now. Lowry was +6 the final day.
Course is a beast and will change by the day depending on moisture.

Maxwell Moldova dunks his second shot on #1 for an eagle to start at 2 under. Didn't have that on my bingo card.

Anybody watching Bryson? That rough is brutal.

He really screwed up on his first pitch. It wasn’t buried and he just hit it way far right. He needed to take his medicine on all three of those shots, but he was trying to hit the perfect shot everytime.

That course is taking no prisoners today. Some pretty impressive bogey saves

You have repeatedly implied that the barstool guys played the same course at the same difficulty as the pros are playing this weekend. I don’t think that’s debatable even for you. Do you still stand by those comments?
