Let's do that for every PGA player that has played in a DP World Tour event as well Right guys?

I know you think this is a zing but it’s actually the dumbest comment I’ve ever read

I’m genuinely curious now how many other tournaments happen now.

If you’re a player you have to be making an exit plan asap.

Wonder if part of the reasons the Saudis are exiting now is the majority of the big guaranteed money contracts are up and it’s easier to extricate.
It’s possible to sue a country and win, I’ve done it.

But it takes years, and costs an arm and a leg even if the attorneys take it on contingency.

By the time it’s over it can pay off, but I don’t recommend it in this case. The Saudi’s can drag this out for a decade. They might settle a lawsuit, but I doubt it.

Joel Beall on Golf Digest just dropped an article saying saying double digit LIV players have reached out to the tour about coming back asap, and that Bryson’s reps have switched in recent weeks from negotiating mainly for a new LIV contract to focusing on how to get him back on the pga tour.

Interestingly though the current sentiment is to play some hard ball with Rahm and Bryson since they didn’t take the offer that Brooks did. Especially Rahm, who apparently burned more bridges than anyone else when he left

Figured this was big enough news to have its own thread.

No PIF funding and this is way old news.

Nobody measured their self worth more than Rahm in this entire ordeal. He thought leaving the Tour was going to be the lynchpin for LIV to win and merge with the tour

Yikes

this is evolving rapidly.

This went from we’re going full throttle -> one event is in trouble -> we have to be upfront with everyone about funding -> Yasir resigning from the board.

I think a lot of places are going to be doing the same exercise the state of LA just did.

I don’t think so.

Corrupt LA government is unique they might’ve been 1 of the only locations that was in year 1 of a multi-year agreement

The next tournament is at a Trump owned club.

Is DJT about to host the PGA Tour at Doral tomorrow and then hammer the nail in LIV’s coffin and say nah I’m good before they show up in Virginia next week?

If this has been known for weeks and it’s all just the same news story, why is LIV only telling their players and staff now and why is Yasir resigning from the board now?

Why the big quasi-denial “media and unnamed sources are bullshite” talking points from Scott O’Neil and Ian Poulter and Arlo White two weeks ago?

2 weeks ago, PIF announced their Investment strategy for 2026-2030.
Speculation was that it doesn’t include LIV.
LIV says they have funding secured for 2026 & will have to shift for 2027.
Today it’s confirmed that PIF will not be funding LIV *after* 2026.

What changed? Is LIV not going to exist in 2027 now? I don’t think today’s news has any impact on that

Only once did Liv admit funding was gone, and then they intensively threatened that media company to pull that video, edit it out, and repost it

But yeh, this is “old news”

Yeah no shite.

Option 1: Trot Eric’s rat face dumb arse out there to host this charade.

Option 2: side with America’s Tour and tell these foreigners to frick off.

Do the right thing, Donald. Pull the plug.

I find it hilarious that the compromised PGA-shill golf media has spent 4 years whipping the average golf fan up into a frenzy because they're soy boys that are trying to take some moral stance.

I can’t imagine what pride & Brandel will go after in 2027 when it’s no longer “Saudi backed”

They still have no logical response as to why a second tour is a bad thing other than "muh blood money".
