I think the Korn Ferry, DP and LPGA will see a big financial windfall in this latest development! Pro Golf worldwide will win.

Going to be hilarious to see all the anti-Saudi money try and defend this one now

I’m just glad I don’t have to log back into the YouTube TV desktop site and figure out how to get the CW back in my channel line up

Current PGA players owe a debt to Phil and others who "fell on the sword" in order to bring the PGA around to being more player friendly, ie- more money

I suspect this was always the Saudis' goal. LIV was gonna bleed money for several years before sniffing a profit. It was a disruptor play (think Dollar Shave Club). Both sides will end up claiming they got what they want I imagine, and it may give the new merged entity a little ratings bump. CNBC article also suggests Saudis will now be invested in the new entity, so PGA getting in bed with "blood money" is most interesting storyline imo.

Idk man. On the cusp of brooks winning a major? Seemed the advantage was with LIv recently. Ultimately this is a good thing.

Brandel on suicide watch. How will him and Eamon spin this?!!

Rory biggest loser. Tour lapdog and now eating his own words.

Going to need a link they took all the money up front
Simple google… one example from golf monthly:

Reports and estimates speculate that Mickelson received a signing fee of an astonishing $200 million from LIV Golf. A report by Forbes suggests he likely received half of that up front.

I'm wondering who caved? I can't believe it would have been the PGA since they are stronger than ever in ratings, attendance and with the new TV contract. Seems maybe the Saudis got tired really fast of hemorrhaging a ton of money with a long road in front of them and decided to try and merge with the PGA is my best guess.

You do understand that the money was NEVER going to run out for LIV...regardless of how successful the tour was, right?

Appears the PGA is now in full control of all decision making. Monahan calling the shots. Pif leader 2nd in command. Not sure this is some win for liv guys just yet. This will be interesting.

Rory was pawned as the guy who stood up for the PGA and values. Didn't he win some sort of player of the year on that Netflix show?

The PGA caved and all he did now means nothing.

did you even read your own post? So the biggest name only got half up front….. Interesting to see what happens with the rest considered the original parameters of the deal seem completely changed. Will the original signees still have to play 14 liv events a year to get their cut? Can they choose not to now and not owe back the exorbitant penalty?

Winners: fans of golf, LIV players.

Losers: PGA players who were loyal

Guys like Hideki and Rickie left hundreds of millions on the table.

Tour players are livid. They had no clue. They feel betrayed by the PGA tour. Wesley Bryan going off on Twitter.
